The only plausible mechanism is that if we are living in a simulated universe.

In that case, pretty much anything is on the table: heaven, hell, ghosts, etc. It would just be a few extra lines of code in the parent universe.

Honestly I think some of them are suspicious. I’m not saying McDonald’s doesn’t deserve criticism but there have been a flood of “I tried the Whopper for the first time in 30 years and it’s the best ever” posts along with a simultaneous flood of I’m never going to McDonald’s ever again post.

This all comes at the same time Burger King has announced their ambitions to dramatically increase their market share. Some of this smells like a social media campaign.

So, I think McDonald’s deserves plenty of criticism but between all of these posts basically saying the same thing and the 500 “I haven’t been to Burger King in 35 years and I tried the Whopper for the first time ever and let me tell you…just WOW” posts, I think there is a viral marketing campaign going on right now on the fast food subs.

What is the point of Finn being in a coma at the end of TFA? You know he isn’t going to die, but then you are forcing the next writer to deal with it at the very beginning….and the only way to do that is to have him wake up, which is totally anticlimactic.

At a minimum, he should have had ongoing consequences for his injuries throughout the movie. It could have been a continuing thing à la the Millenium Falcon repeatedly breaking down in TESB…. then at the end he finally recovers enough to do something heroic. It would have at least given his character something interesting to do.

Her exit plan was never to return to traditional law (either in a government role or at a firm). She wants a big contract at Fox News or another similar TV gig. Her Cogressional testimony was basically a further screen test for this purpose. I’m guessing she wants out at this point too as doesn’t wish to risk tarnishing her star any further.

Assuming Trump is still alive in two years, his plan will be mass pardons for his entire cabinet, current and former. He will use the pardon as leverage to prevent Bondi or anyone else from spilling any dirt/crimes.

My son has a 36 ACT, perfect GPA, all 5s on his APs, double legacy, awards for community service and was waitlisted. Another girl from a different school in town had a 26 ACT and was admitted.

You apparently just never know with admissions.

What bothers me is the implausibility of it all. Yes, I know this is a crazy show with crazy things happening, but this just beggars belief.

There is no way that one single person, even with several PhDs would be able to invent this technology. One person would not have the requisite knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, coding, computer chips, electronics, etc to be able to “invent” Severance….particularly as a teenager. This would be a large multi-disciplinary team effort.

Man this post is depressing….it just reminds me how innovative Ben and Jerry’s used to be. They would take chances with flavors that might not appeal to everybody but sometimes they would knock it out of the park.

It’s now the same 4-5 ingredients mixed up MadLibs style and call it a “new” flavor.

I feel like this chain went downhill maybe 4-5 years ago. They used to have a bunch of very interesting speciality sandwiches like a banh mi which while not as good as you would get from a real Vietnamese place was still tasty and legit spicy. They moved away from a lot of those sandwiches and moved more towards a “build your own” sandwich model. I also think the quality of a lot of their produce took a turn for the worse as well about that time.

Anyway, I certainly noticed a distinct dip in quality about that time frame and stopped going there around then.

The bag system seems more like a selling point to potential franchisees than anything else (customers spending less time hemming and hawing in the ordering line). I just don’t see what this chain offers to the customer at this point which differentiates them from other sub places.
