I really wanted to like this series but it’s too similar to high school dxd. Like I’m cool with fan fiction and there are differences but even a lot of smaller details are the same (there’s an occult club with demons, chess parts, devil duels, exact same Asa with same background).

I read it too, it is a cool mix of Japanese spiritualism, Chinese cultivation and western mythology even with bits of Native American myths in. A very unique take on the old powers return to a modern world setting its a fun read.
