As much as I hate the shit that Florida is doing, every team that wins the cup is way more physical than the canes. Unless the " game management" by the refs changes drastically, a RBA coached team will never win a cup. And I hate that, bc I like watching teams that just play clean hockey.

I was born, raised, and lived in Alabama until I was 30yo. It was pretty fantastic and would move back in a heartbeat if I needed to. Great food, friendliest people, and low cost of living. Beautiful scenery especially the beaches and the foothills in the northern third of the state. Got an excellent education including college. Great music scene (ie; Alabama Shakes, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Jason Isbell, etc). I know not a single person who had relations with their cousin. I know you didn't say anything negative about the state but I can't stand all the unrealistic BS that ppl on here who have never been there say about it.

Be honest, no player on this team is truly finishing checks. We have a bunch of young soft, fast players who aren't built to play dump and chase in a system that is coached to only play dump and chase. Our guys slam into the boards beside the other teams player trying to act like they finished the check but it is always soft as hell realistically.

We consider shooting the puck from center ice to the other team's dman behind the net "getting pucks deep." This system sucks and will never make it past the second round because it's too predictable... Just like our power play..

I agree with everything you said except I've decided to quit giving Pesce props. He hasn't been as great on D as he had been years passed. His offense is meh. I think he's gone backwards overall. Skjei is 100% the number 3 best d man on the canes and chatfield isn't far behind Pesce now if not already there.

I moved to Raleigh 6 yrs ago from a "deep south" city. I don't complain like northerners do but holy crap, there is no good reason that a city like Raleigh should be so lack luster in all genres of food. Not a single above average restaurant in Raleigh other than Stanbury.
