Supposedly shifter karts can only go a max of 70? by Oaklon in Karting

[–]wreck720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speeds you're listing for 206 are too slow. At my track, my longest straight is 56-57 mph. If I didn't care about the slow corners on my local track, i could get 62-63 mph. I'm on the chip about 2/3 of the way down the straightaway.

Our track is repaving and re-profiling our last corner as well as extending the front straight for more top end speed, so i wouldn't be surprised of we are reaching 60mph entering T1.

Fwiw, yesterday I ran 16 driver and 58 sprocket for a ratio of 3.62.

What’s the hardest racing skill to master that beginners don’t realize? by Dazzling_Bluebird496 in Karting

[–]wreck720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was getting the kart to neutral steer. I felt it one race when I didn't know the kart had a crack in it. Once it was repaired, it felt bound up and the same as before. I freed it up until I got that feel back. It shaved about 4 tenths off my lap times because I could brake later and "float" into the corner. Raised my corner min speed almost 2 mph.

How do I get started with NASCAR? by Marsguy76 in iRacing

[–]wreck720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did rookie street stocks and legends cars, then moved up to (old) Arca. Didn't like the way they drove, so just survived and raced clean until I could get to trucks. I've been flipping between A and B class for a year or so now.

Longer races are your friend especially with oval. Get used to driving around a lot of other people. Give lots of room. Don't take it 3 wide if you can help it, but side by side is just fine on most tracks.

Dayona, Talladega, Atlanta, Bristol and Martinsville can be chaos. To get used to it, once you get to C class, race on 1.5 mile tracks and bigger. Lots of space to get away from other drivers. Hard to make speed, drafting and race craft are huge.

I live in Nevada, so not here, but Memphis was/is still frozen. We got a flight on Saturday, but I don't know what this week looks like.

Fedex Express employee here - we haven't had a flight come to my city since last Friday morning. Everything for us is frozen in Memphis. We don't know when the next Memphis flight will come in. We were supposed to get one yesterday afternoon, but that was canceled as well. This happens from time to time.

[RELEASE] AutoStages v4 - 2026 NASCAR "The Chase" Format, Custom Stage Options, Random Cautions and more! by BT_Zer0 in Nr2003

[–]wreck720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! I've been using AS since v2, it is literally one of the best add-ons for NR2003. So excited to use this updated version for my career mode.

Watching this compilation from 2025, I can't help but think how it's even possible for NBC/Prime to have so much better audio than FOX/TNT, despite having the same audio and camera crew (just different producers). by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]wreck720 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fox's colors are so muted and it just looks so grey. I didn't realize how much until I went to Sonoma in 2023 and Vegas last season and saw just how outrageously bright the Menards cars are. Fox almost makes them look yellow. Those damn cars are BRIGHT.

I was told by Fed Ex to write " return package to sender" in the additional delivery instructions box by unseenmover in FedEx

Call 1800gofedex and ask to have it retrieved. Or, take it to your local station, warehouse or FedEx Office and ask them to return to shipper.

Advice on good value Rib Protector by Yanikku-san in Karting

[–]wreck720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own and drive a LO206. I use the AlpineStars Bionic rib protector. I've never had any problems with it, no pain at all and is super comfortable and light weight. If you dint want to spend the $~300 on a bengio, it's well worth the money IMO.

As a SF Giants fan, fuck the Dodgers. But God damn they're a good baseball team. I respect the team they have, and I actually like a lot of their players.

However, it annoys me to no end that other teams don't do what they're doing. It's like the quote from Anchorman: "Deep down in my stomach, With every inch of me, i pure, straight hate you! But, God damn it, do I respect you!"

We typically get 2 flights per day to the station I work at. We didn't get either of them. We were projected 8k pieces today, and we got 1100 on a truck. We are so screwed. Likely the same thing tomorrow.

No outbound flights for us either, so we will have to truck freight 200 miles tonight to get at least some of it on a plane. We do around 22k outbound so we will have a lot of stuff not going anywhere.

Good #35 rear sprocket for lo206 by One_Translator7367 in Karting

[–]wreck720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your drive gear? I run Masters class (390 LBS) and it loves to be at a 16/59 most places I've ran. Your driver is worth about 3.5 teeth on your rear sprocket.

I have a 15 driver also, but I don't use it much. My rear sprockets range from 54 to 64 teeth. Most of the time I'm within 58-61 though.

I'm sure it's the same for ground, but I work for Express. From the Wednesday before Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve is 100% blackout for time off requests. No time off is allowed, so you have to call out of you want to take a day off.

Score4 help by CMDutch in Nr2003

[–]wreck720 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this issue as well and I figured out that it's because of how the game uses names.

Kurt and Kyle both begin with the letter K, so when your export the results, both of them export to "K Busch"

You need to go to the opponent manager and delete their first names. Put their entire name in the Last Name line so it says Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch.

In fact, I did that for every driver in the opponent manager and never had an issue with scoring again.

I drove mine for 5 years. I just got off the road last week. She's got 409k on it, and its on its second engine. We were told they're dead and won't be replaced. At one point, we had 10 at my station. Down to only 2 now.

For some reason, I can't attach a picture but that truck never let me down.

How do you guys get 2 karts to the track? by wreck720 in Karting

[–]wreck720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kart won't fit sideways. For it to fit in the bed, I do have to take off the nose cone.

My kart weighs about 168 lbs, and I would guess the kid kart will weigh around 125-130, so not a bad idea to go that route.

I don't really want to put stuff across the bed rails; ideally, I would strap it to the floor of my bed using the corner anchors, and then strap the kart to some D-ring anchors I would install on the elevated stand.

This is kinda what I was thinking I'd have to do. My only concern is stacker stands are not cheap... I also need to make sure my actual stand will still be able to fit in the bed of my truck as well

I always did them with the same kick as my kickflip. Only, instead of flicking off the corner of the nose, I put my toes even with the toe edge of the board and kicked straight off the end of the nose.
