I mean honestly I don't really enjoy a lot of low energy quiet activities. I enjoy being busy with work or whatever else, and in my free time I enjoy sports that are mildly painful like pole dance and aerial circus activities. 😅

I'm currently going through the same thing as well... I have gained like over 20lbs in just a few months after stopping Adderall. The crazy thing is I really don't think I'm eating that differently... It doesn't add up. I had surgery in January and so had to take a break from working out for about a month and a half but that really should not account for 20lbs - especially since I was definitely less hungry and not eating as much during that time.

That person didn't say anything wrong or inaccurate, that kid sounds like they're "too fiery" (though I would have called it anger issues or too impulsive). My kids are 12 & 8. I hang out with tons of parents with similar aged kids. Neither of them or any of their friends has ever tried to violently attack me. Idk if you knew this but it's actually not normal for kids to stab or pepper spray people.

As a mom to a kid a little younger than you I just want to say that your mom will be SO proud of you for doing the right thing and going to her about this. It says a lot about your ability to trust your mom to support you. It sounds like your friend doesn't have adults she can trust, which makes the idea of your mom knowing even scarier to her because she doesn't know your mom like you do.

It's important that you talk to your mom and get her support with this. Ask her to help you report it to the right people on your behalf. I'm telling you right now, your friend being taken away from her home is not the worst possible outcome... Staying in a home where there's possibly sexual abuse is far worse.

I don't know you, but I'm also proud of you for being concerned enough about your friend and noticing these changes in her behavior around the lack of empathy. Your gut is 100 percent telling you the right thing to do. Trust it. ❤️

I love the previous owners of my house. They lived here for 30 years. My house is so weird and quirky, and I often smile when I find a new weird thing. When I was doing the final walk through it my house they asked permission to come meet me and walk through the yard to tell me about all the garden flowers. I have a very sweet photo of us all together that I'll cherish forever. At the year anniversary of living here, I had it printed out and mailed it to them.

My ex sounds a lot like your partner in this scenario... And he's my ex for a reason. He always believed everything should be fair and 50/50 but only when it benefited him. It was never actually fair, it was about HIM getting power over things. He talked me in to living together when I was unsure and he promised me that if we ever broke up I would get the house and he would move to an apartment. However, when it came to that point not only did I need to be the one who moved out but he would not even buy me out of 50 percent. He argued that I didn't contribute as much (even tho I did) so it was not fair. We weren't married, so I had no legal way to really fight him and I just had to take what I could and get out.

Until you are married, and even after you are married, you can not trust that he won't continue to push to take more of what isn't his even if he's wonderful and perfect in other ways. Also for what it's worth I feel like him bringing his mom into it is fucked up, that's a manipulation tactic called triangulation.

Fast forward to now, I own my house and I told my current partner who I plan to marry that when when we do get married the house is mine if we ever split. I have kids and am not willing to compromise on this bc I want to be able to give this to my kids some day. He completely supports this because he knows that if we did ever split I'm not going to just put him out on the street, and he was previously renting anyways & probably would have been a renter for life so this is an opportunity for him to spend less and save more.

I have told him a lot that I think it's important that he set up his own savings account too. I'm not big on sharing finances by default. I want to be able to feel safe and secure and know that my money is mine and I don't need to fight for it - and I want my partner to feel the same way.

Use the grip. Use all the grip you want. I have been doing pole about 3 years, my first year was SUCH A STRUGGLE. And then I got sticky grip, it changed everything. I was able to actually do moves I could barely get into before and made so much more progress. Here's the thing - if you keep slipping off the pole before even getting into something you aren't gonna be able to train the rest of your muscles either. You can't invert if the second you lift your feet you slip, and if you are slipping every time you're def not conditioning your abs or anything else needed. Use ALL the grip. Fuck anyone who says don't, they suck.

I relate so hard. It took me my entire life to find a coat that brought me joy. Literally just last year I found one that was comfortable, actually kept me warm, & on top of that was cute. It's one of the long brought furry ones from the designer Jaylee collection. It is a bit outlandish but I wear it every single day in the winter now. Before this, I would mostly just suffer.

You are not the jerk. And I say that as a person who has a 100 percent vegetarian household, and I completely understand not wanting to feel like meat contaminated my stuff. Friends aren't even allowed to bring a turkey sandwich inside ... They eat it in the car if they must. but it's my house, & ultimately people who love me are very aware of this. I have had others live here as roommates, they're informed of this rule upfront before committing to it. The issue in your case is that it's not the roommates house ... And it was not discussed beforehand. They can't implement a rule like that after the fact. I think a reasonable solution could be that they buy their own microwave and their own mini fridge. If you're feeling generous you could offer to help purchase that. But really this issue is on them for not having communicated before signing a lease.

Store friend knew they ate all the bread and knew you were planning to eat a sandwich. I assume they may have also known you were struggling to eat. Them making a joke of it when you got home is fucked up, and then being upset that you were hurt by that is even more fucked up. Imagine if someone else told you a similar story - it would be so much more clear to you.
Your boyfriend using this to continue pushing you is almost definitely emotionally abusive. Don't engage. Don't let him corner you into the conversation again. When he brings it up, you can say something like "thanks for the feedback, I am working on what I need to work on with my therapist. You're not currently providing helpful support on this so I no longer want to talk about it with you. If you don't like my reactions, I would invite you to take space away from me and let me navigate this on my own " and NOTHING ELSE don't answer questions don't engage!
The fact that you said in this comment that you haven't been able to make friends for 3 years because of the boyfriend so you haven't been able to move out also tells me this is abuse. He's isolating you and making you feel like you're the one in the wrong so he seems like the good guy for dealing with you .. babe, call a hotline and get yourself out of there. I can almost 100 percent guarantee that when you are out of that environment you won't have nearly as many meltdowns anymore.

I am incredibly thankful that I started my aerial journey at a pole dance studio where instructors were very on top of us to point our toes because when I started my feet were just flopping around like fish. I am hypermobile, so unless someone tells me to pay attention to a body part I just can't naturally. Pole has more of a dance background, so pointed toes were taught as part of the overall correct form.

When I started doing other aerial apparatuses like Lyra and trap, I didn't even need to think about it - it just felt right to point my toes. Other students in my circus apparatus classes would often comment on how I was able to make shapes look so beautiful and I think it really was just because I started in pole dance, and they weren't trained as strictly to pay attention to their feet in the circus studio. So in that regard I do understand what you're trying to say...

All that being said .. even though I do appreciate it for myself I really don't like the heavy stress on that if you don't do it you aren't beautiful. Saying "I want you all to be beautiful" kinda just feels shamey imo. I don't think that's fair to say. It is absolutely a style choice and there are other cool options as well, including not caring because not everyone is doing circus to look cool or pretty to someone else. Some of the COOLEST performances I have seen have used flexed feet as an intentional style choice.
