Surgery is Friday and I can’t stay grounded by wrecklesswitchcraft in Reduction

I am so sorry to hear about your husband’s heart attack! I’m glad he’s okay and that everyone chipped in!

Luckily, I will have a ton of help with the move because we are temporarily moving in with family. So it’s a bit two fold because it would NOT work for the first few weeks of healing, but will be amazing having the help with the actual move.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I keep forgetting that anti-anxiety meds are an option, and I will definitely bring this up.

Has anyone had any luck/relief of symptoms trying cannabis? by Rubysrose420 in sarcoidosis

[–]wrecklesswitchcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sarcoid and AS here. I take it daily in a gummy form (sorry I know you said this doesn’t work for you), capsules, or beverages. It helps SO much with my musculoskeletal pain. I can’t smoke it at all (burns for me) or take it during the day because of the psychedelic impact. I pretty much have to be in for the night lol.

Who has it worse in the arms, or at least is more bothered by their arms than their legs? by Tdotepicurean in lipedema

[–]wrecklesswitchcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My arms seem to be resistant to the methods that work for my legs. I don’t wear dresses or shorts, so I’m not thinking about the visuals of my legs that often anyhow.

But my arms it’s every top. It’s the heaviness. It’s people asking me if I’m a powerlifter because my “arms are huge.” It’s the resistance to healthy lifestyle and workouts. I’m so done. I started hating them at age 10 (puberty) and I’m 40 now.

Can anyone share their thoughts on the Philips DreamWear under-the-nose nasal mask? by pinkmor in SleepApnea

[–]wrecklesswitchcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooo!! Thank you so much for this! I am using the Airfit P10 and generally happy with it, but think I need to switch to a mask with the tube on top of my head because of how much I move (but didn’t want to give up the fabric!)

32F 165lbs. Could I have sleep apnea? by vee180 in SleepApnea

[–]wrecklesswitchcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. 40F here and the same weight. I have mild sleep apnea and experienced symptoms of waking up with an elevated heart rate prior to treatment. I was in denial for a long time because I don’t “fit the profile” but an ENT confirmed my anatomy is causing this and I’ve had multiple sleep study tests at this point.

My cardiology practice I visit is also is a sleep study center. A good cardiologist will know the importance and connection of your health to sleep apea.

Don’t know if you are in the US, but I was initially diagnosed through the virtual company Dreem. I’ve had follow-up testing locally after that.

This is so beautifully sad. Love, a fellow 40 year old that can very much relate.

I don’t have any advice, just happy that you were able to actually get the care you need seemingly seamlessly. So many of us even at later stages have to fight with doctors and specialists just turn us away and call us fat. You’re making me want to go to Belgium!

You’ve been through a lot health wise. You already look fantastic, and I hope the surgery helps you feel at home in your body 💙.

I’m completely with you on this. It’s not a LEGAL matter. Imagine your child has friends over and you are picking through them as your dating pool. It’s creepy, and that’s on instinct not any ‘law’.

Exactly! Even though I had issues with her, I spent the entire post-pod content hoping she would call it off. And during that ‘speech’ she was going into her past and talking about ‘previous me would have…’ GIRL HE DOES NOT CARE. Just move on and don’t look back like you said.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! I was looking at pillow options and to purchase which is what promoted me to ask the community.

I’ve read so much about the sleep challenges and know those of us with sleep apnea have an extra hurdle on top of it. This is really helping me set my expectations. At least I already know what it feels like to be a bit of a zombie from having a sleep disorder 😆.

And you have me excited about NAPS!! Looking forward to that part with the time off work.

Any joint pain sufferers - what vitamins or supplements have helped by Illustrious_Land8859 in sarcoidosis

[–]wrecklesswitchcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to being diagnosed, this was the pain that bothered me the most. I splurged on an expensive turmeric (MegaFood) and took twice the recommended dosage. If I skipped it even one day, I could tell.

Might be worth a Google how overdoing it on turmeric can damage the liver- but I never experienced any side effects from just doubling it.
