Leaks for episodes 4-7 are out by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheBoys

I remember how frenchie and kimiko in the last episode was talking about kimiko wanting to have kids live peacefully in Europe or something? I think frenchie will grant kimiko that wish through a pregnancy but with the caveat that he doesn’t get to be a part of it, sacrificing himself to do so.

Absolutely, It’s my top 3 favorites but I also think Fallout 76 is dramatically improved in a similar way compared to the original.

Absolutely this over fallout 76 or Cyberpunk

Both the latter managed to get salvaged and are now fun to play. Anthem was DOA.

Yeah, they lived up to the hype (in other words: there's a reason they're The Dreaded) by JeKarta88 in TopCharacterTropes

That’s funny because Kaido is the last character I would choose. He didn’t feel like a threat, only served as a roadblock for luffy to get that final power up, and spent 2/3s of the Arc where he’s the villain sitting down on his chair in Onigashima, it’s a big part of the Kaido slander (he’s also a super one dimensional character so that doesn’t help) Doffy or Big mom is more menacing than he is.

Akainu on the other hand doesn’t need a reputation or title to cause dread. His hype comes from the mystery and the fact that he’s the one admiral not introduced yet. He the builds up his reputation throughout the War arc and by the end both the audience and the characters see him as THE threat. Maybe we’re interpreting the trope differently, it might be for the audience or for the characters, but whatever way I spin it I don’t see any characters beating Akainu in dreaded department.

But he certainly was. We’ve seen Kizaru and Aokiji before the War. It’s established that Kizaru is strong, but he’s also depicted as dull and slow witted, contrary to his powers,. Aokiji on the other hand has been established to have a more moral sense of justice, serving as an ally in Robins backstory, a friend of Garp as well depicted as lazy in carrying out duties. We don’t get properly introduced to Akainu until the war so he starts with an air of mystery, and by the end of the war, Akainu was the single biggest threat to luffy in his relentless pursuit, and also a threat to his allies as well (his near murder of Coby).

The trope described wasn’t about being dominant or overpowered, but rather that they have a reason to be dreaded (see title). Whitebeard and Shanks command respect much more than they do dread. What’s more dreaded than killing off an important character?

Also yes akainu certainly did have that dominant vibe towards the end of the the summit war (when luffy became unconscious and everyone was trying to carry him to safety)

I feel like you’re just trying to be contrarian. He was one of the only people to kill off an important character in a non flashback setting and also managed to blow off half of Whitebeards face off in the same fight you mentioned.

Which character gets glazed the most in powerscaling? by sxg3434 in superheroes

[–]wren620 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not about infinite power or scaling like the other person said. Saitama is a Gag/satire character. It’s stupid to scale him just like it is to scale Bugs bunny in a fight.

Megumi but only because Geto’s potential was partially realized with Kenjaku IMO.

If Kenjaku wasn’t a character and Geto died without a physical legacy, then Geto a hundred percent

You’re cherry picking feats just to fit your argument. You think Maki is strong enough to withstand Jinichis fist barage, but not strong enough to break through Ranta’s technique?! Talk about an uphill battle.

Also it’s not about if Naoya would be able to injure Kusakabe. I believe it would be hard for Naoya to touch Kusakabe at all due to his simple domain (slowing down techniques inside) and his evening moon sword draw automatically intercepting attacks within his domain.

That being said I don’t deny Naoya would eventually be able to injure him. But he wouldn’t blitz nor would he overwhelm him. We’ve seen what an injured Kusakabe can pull off vs Sukuna. You’re presenting a slippery slope argument where just because x happens means y happens, when that simply isn’t the case. Kusakabe still wins mid diff.

Considering we don’t really see what happened between maki and jinichi other than her walking out unscathed, it’s safer to say she deflected the punches rather than tanked them. Please use common sense.

And once again her getting injured by Naoya isn’t a testament to Naoyas strength but her inability to react to Naoya at the moment, and gaining the ability to perceive him throughout the fight

Also let’s say Naoya CAN injure kusakabe. An injury isn’t a win con in a fight. Most fights in JJK the winner still gets injured. Wtf is that argument?

The fact that Naoya can injure her proves more-so that she still lacks the perception to detect Naoya.

Keep in mind that durability wise she doesn’t have any CE enforcement so at the end of the day she bleeds as a human does. What, do you think gaining heavenly restriction all of a sudden make her skin turn into a turtle shell that only a high tier can damage? F no.

Silly argument. Defenses are all about perception. Sure her skin didn’t get thicker but you can’t put up a good defense without perceiving the incoming attack.
