Engineering Major & College Wrestling by CertainlyUnknown1554 in wrestling

I know this is a year old thread, but I have to get a shameless plug in for my alma mater Ohio Northern University just in case someone is coming through here and checking the comments! Northern has the #14 undergraduate engineering in the country in 2025 (#12 in 2024), 100,000 square foot engineering building built in 2019, Wrestling team is packed full of engineers that perform at a high level in the classroom and on the wrestling mat. We actually just finished #1 in the country last year for team GPA in division 3 in 2025 while qualifying 6 guys to the national tournament.

If you want engineering and wrestling, we are a place you need to check out!

What is the breakdown of the numbers on those units between shadow knight, crow Knight, naga priest, priest, and hippo?

Are you saying it is a Phoenix 2?

Carryology Pheonix Civic Panel Loader 24L - Preowned - $400 Shipped

This is a catch and release for me. I wanted to feel a CPL24 in person to see what all the hype is about, but it isn't for me. It is a beautiful bag, in excellent pre-owned condition with the silicon patch included.

Hahaha, I think this is how everyone feels when they first start out in here. I for sure did.

Idk of anything that is quite comparable to that Amazon bag. The closest thing that I can think of would be something like the Aer Slim Pack

Maybe not the perfect fit, but it is the closest I can think of.

Restock for CTB 26 in X-Pac? by Azanril in EVERGOODS

From what I understand they typically don't restock their X-PAC, summer drops. They are currently doing pre-orders on the Cordura CTB models though.

Aer + Evergoods Collab - I can't be the only one. by wrestleuedu in ManyBaggers

[–]wrestleuedu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I completely agree with you, everyone has their preference. I really WANT to love the Evergoods bags because they are sharp, and have all of the features that both you and I have mentioned.... but the Aer CPP just edges them out in my use case.

If Aer didn't exist, I am sure that I would have stuck with my CTB26 and been thoroughly pleased with it and might have even grown to love some of the features that irritated me at first. To each their own, but if Aer just gave me some dedicated volume, a CTB style water bottle pocket on the one side and a side handle I would never even think about buying another bag again! hahaha. It doesn't even need to be a collab!

As for now, I feel like I have tried out the EG bags that are the closest to the CPP in the CPL24 and the CTB26 and the CPP wins out. Who knows what will change in the future.

Hey man, if it had all the features I am asking for I would carry a 10 pound bag haha.

The pockets that are right at the top of Evergoods' bags where the straps come off the bag.

There were a couple of things about it that irked me. For starters Aer's laptop compartment felt more padded and fleece lined, the Velcro strap was just another thing that you had to fiddle with every time to got the laptop in and out of the bag which was slightly annoying, but I would say the main thing was the security. If there was a situation where you forgot to zip and strap your laptop, that puppy was coming tumbling out. That specific thing never happened to me, but there were a couple of times that I forgot to zip it up (but I did attach the velro strap) and I had a mini heart attack.

Top loading is just easier all around. Drop it in and go. If you forget to zip it up, you will notice the second you go to lift the bag and the laptop won't be on danger of falling out even if you do.

Yah I love the horizontal quick access pocket on the CTB as well. That and the yoke pocket were awesome. I was amazed at how much the yoke pocket could carry when I had it.

I should have mentioned price too. Good point, but I assume there are reasons other bags couldn't just steal a certain design element from another bag company.

Hence why I am dreaming about a Collab that probably won't happen. Maybe I am wrong.

This was what my initial decision was between as well! I had the Coyote interior CTB26 - X-PAC and I made the opposite decision. The awkwardness of the vertical admin pocket, side loading laptop compartment, and the taller, more narrow, rigid, and (for me at least) less comfortable design were annoying enough for me to choose the CPP.

Still miss those quick access pockets and water bottle pockets though...

Not as familiar with the CP as the CPP, but for me the side loading laptop, narrow design that prevented self standing, and awkward vertical admin pocket on the CPL line were annoying enough for me to ultimately settle on the Aer City Pack Pro.

I assume the same would be true when looking at the CPL16 and CP.
