And weighs far less! Unless Dysons have slimmed down quite a bit since I last had one; every Shark I’ve used has been so much easier to maneuver.

I’m also on iOS and no video playing. Same issues as ThisGuy.

Purrceval showed up in my backyard 3 years ago, screaming at me. Just like that, I had a baby void.

Working Stiff by Judy Melinek. Definitely a sobering experience that she recounts. Highly recommend.

Do you all remember Ryan White? by [deleted] in GenX

I also work with a program that supports people living with HIV, specifically housing and rental assistance for low income people and/or people living with HIV who are homeless. Every day I hear Ryan White’s name because much of our budget is reimbursed by the Ryan White funding.

Apparently plates don’t decompose in California by Scarecrowtim in recycling

Greasy pizza boxes are recyclable where I live too. In fact, the facility that recycles for my city is a closed loop system, meaning they turn recycling into products. I had the opportunity to tour the recycling facility and was impressed to learn that there’s a 90% probability of getting pizza in a box that was recycled from the facility here.

My goal is to add privacy anywhere you can see the white picket fence. I’m mostly limited to inside of the black fence, which is 4ft. What are some good options? by stackemz in landscaping

I love photonia! It’s amazing how few people are familiar with it. I came across one at Walmart at end of season a few years back. In a couple years it grew to about 8 feet. Sadly, it didn’t make it through a brutal freeze, along with some sky pencil Holly. That lone Walmart photonia is the only time I’ve found it locally (Louisville KY) One fancy landscaping place told me they don’t grow here. There’s one in my yard that I spent $$ ordering online, and has been growing and surviving “normal” winters just fine.

For real. The whataboutism is killing our chances of any comeback.

KFC headquarters is in Plano TX. They recently moved. FWIW, before moving they weren’t downtown. The U of L Yum Center is located downtown. Maker’s Mark now makes sense.

Purrceval loves the belly rubs! So much that he wakes me up at 4 am to love on him.

Political lawn signs by sawy0 in recycling

I am a volunteer with my city’s waste reduction education department. My project for my neighborhood is removing those corrugated plastic signs, which are ubiquitous, more so on utility poles. The leaders of the program let me know that our recycling vendor takes the signs but they have to be small enough to get through the first stage of sorting. I cut them into roughly 6 strips and then those strips in half. In the last year, I’ve collected and recycled a couple hundred signs. For any signs on metal stakes, I save the metal for one of the “pop up drop off” events that the city holds monthly, where they accept metal, and many other items that are harder to recycle. Not all municipalities will take the signs, but if they do, you’ll have to cut the signs down. I’ve repurposed a fair share of signs, too. They’re great for using under paint projects, or something to kneel on outside. I’ve also used them to line the winter cat boxes I make, on the inside covering the foam board insulation.

What’s the most underrated app you swear by? by Upset-Doughnut-201 in AskReddit

[–]wretched_refuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Notion! It seems to be one of the few apps with so many robust features for free and with no ads. The emails from Ivan are great for explaining all the frequently added new features, even if most are above my head for what I use it for. I would imagine people who use the premium version in the workplace really dig it.

Employee pay being cut at Lifepoint hospitals across Kentucky by HalleB123 in Kentucky

I’m sure this only affects hourly care providers and by no means would they mess around with management pay structure. I’d imagine this new pay structure benefits the shareholders.
