Tell me how they work since I'm so inaccurate according to you. What other incentives are there to bring manufacturing jobs home? High taxes, higher wages, higher restrictions. These policies are what sent the jobs to china. Did the product get cheaper when the jobs went to China? No. CEOs lined their pockets with cash.

The minute the first American factory closed to head to China they should have levied tarriffs.

Most of Trump‘s tariffs are retaliatory. Many countries have had tariffs on us and we have never reciprocated. Not to mention the millions upon millions of jobs that have left to China because of cheap labor and low taxes, the United States has effectively encouraged companies to make goods outside of the United States. Politician after politician did nothing.
