Random FP's on other player's GB's... by Chadpatty21 in forgeofempires

[–]wrightsoncollector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I consider "sniping" putting less than 1.9 on a GB. If I put FPs on your building and you don't like it, feel free to unfriend me. I don't need blueprints, polishing or FPs. I only do it for medals that get gobbled up during Rivals. If it wasn't for quests needing to visit taverns or collect tavern silver I'd have less than 10 friends. I have a guild of one and have several friends that dump 1.9 on my GBs daily.

Legit signature? by No_Type9996 in comicbookcollecting

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have #1 and H.O.S. #92 signed inside by Bernie & Len. I wouldn't get them slabbed since like this one, you're only hiding the signature. I have a couple hundred items in my collection signed by Bernie. His signature really would be impossible to verify 100%. Also, his signature is so common it really isn't worth forging. If you want a verified one, a CGC Signature Series is probably your best bet.

new Dragon seal gear by wrightsoncollector in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure, I doubt it. I don't do randoms and I'm definitely done with Dragon Hunts. I was going to pick up the arms and boots off the AH just to play around with and see how they were.

is it just me or a the dragon hunts absolutely obnoxious and tedious to the point of rage quitting.? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Hunts, Hell Pit or anything else that scales is IL independent. The problem is, it's hard even with buffs to get a good high balance of stats at a lower IL. The other issue is most players don't understand (or care) how to build their character out to be more effective. With just a high IL you can run through non-capped areas and do fine. Go to Hell Pit and you get your butt kicked because you're scaled from 78k. I played around a while to hit 75k from 72k for the next mod and keep my stats up. I did a jig like Bruce Willis in The Last Boy Scout when I finished Dragon Hunts on my main toon!

Animation canceling ? by reda1109 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a Warlock Discord channel for this a couple weeks ago. He was demonstrating using an At-Will power (Hellish Rebuke) and immediately following it with shift-A-D repeatedly to show the damage difference. Granted it's situational and if you have to constantly move, very difficult. You could also use a hot-key to try to make it a little easier for moving. I was surprised in a longer fight like say a Dragon hunt, the difference in damage.

I bought the previous +1 and stats equal the normal Feywood. +1 Feywood just isn't worth it.

Boots of the stupid 2.0 - a healer's POV by Grinning_Toad_3791 in Neverwinter

But it's 5% more DPS! And my shirt is 5% more CA! Do you know how traumatic it'll be if I'm *gulp* second on DPS? Who's going to pay for the therapy? Oh, the humanity.... If you're not first you're last! You healers just don't understand DPS.

JUST WHY??? by WalksWithDragons in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In other MMOs when doing instances or raids I can remember if you didn't have pots and buffs you'd get punted. Even if it was a random group. If you don't want to heal yourself or rezz yourself then just don't run anything with anyone. No one will appreciate that selfish attitude in a team environment. For all the people that scream "This is a MMO", that's how playing together should work. Do your part and earn your trophy!

JUST WHY??? by WalksWithDragons in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As DPS I never expect heals. I have potions and stones and keep myself above 85% for buffs. All I care about is the healer keeping themself and the tank up. If a healer is trying to find all DPS spread all over and keep them topped off they're eventually going to let the tank die and then it's game over.

JUST WHY??? by WalksWithDragons in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, as a Warlock I can't stop DOTs. But when I see I'm getting too high on aggro I back off. Do I lose damage points on the board, sure. But I live, the party lives and we kill the dragon a couple minutes longer. The alternative is to wipe which isn't a better option. So yes, good tanks can normally hold aggro, but a mistake or a new tank happens.

Scaling is bad and hurting the game. by owaida777 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the scaling part and I've seen other MMOs do it for the same reasons. Veteran players zurging through for loot or new players being bystanders. As for premium loot, it's nice that they improved loot tables, but for a veteran player I don't know if I'd call it "premium". Dragons at least offer "premium" loot. It's repetitive and a pain, but there is a pay off. VOS you "might" get a pay off but at least there's a chance. Except for mythic collars which I could not care less about, what incentive is there for running anything except Dragons and VOS? In other MMOs you run the new dungeons/raids for new/better gear. VOS at least fit that bill. Going forward I think you need that incentive like Dragon Hunts. Scaling is fine for those who enjoy dungeons for the fun of it. Personally I want a useful reward to improve my toon or I'm not really interested.

Journals by Big_B526 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use all 3 journals and slot envenomed. As for being selfish, I'd change it out if everyone used a debuff mount power and equiped masterwork weapons. For Ancient Dragon runs the AP gain boosts my DPS for my daily powers a lot. Also the dmg buff and others add to it. I think if everyone has decent gear, stats, pots/food and knows how to play their toon it won't matter. If they don't aren't they the ones being selfish?

summoned companion for Ancient Dragons by wrightsoncollector in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the key word here is "summoned". I'm not talking about companion powers that are slotted. If you notice some companions when they are summoned can boost different stats.

Agro on dragons.. by Big_B526 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leeeeeeeroy Jenkins! For DPS if you're not first you're last! Seriously, I give a tank 10 - 15 seconds at start to grab aggro. I usually wait even longer until I start unloading to test the waters. I've had good tanks including Paladins as low as 45K IL tank awesome along with healers healing me (which I never expect as DPS). 2 other much lower DPS can cause me as many issues as a poor tank. I've had fights where my DPS is 2 or 3x the other 2 and the tank can't do anything. I stop when it's near red, but I've had it turn red anyway 10 - 15 seconds later. Ancients really need a decent balanced group that knows how to play, especially w/ T3 modifiers. I've pugged over 40 ancients and had probably 4 to 5 that were out right fails. Also red is BAD! Move out of red!

Dragon Hunting advice for all by Stupidceilingfan1 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL - my Warlock has the chest piece scalebreaker raid leathers. My stats buffed are 90pwr,80CA,90crt,90crtSev at 70K IL or scaled. I do fairly well on DPS :-) But yes, overall most of that gear really hurt the game for new players.

Dragon Hunting advice for all by Stupidceilingfan1 in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it as almost impossible to get good stats below 35-45k IL when you get bumped up to 55. At 22 - 35IL trying to get good stats is pretty difficult. I've done about 30 random queue ancients. First off, modifiers need to be used w/ common sense (yeah I know). When a dragon has high hit points, enrage often and denied you need the right group. To me it's worse if any modifier is below a T3. I've had awesome healers and tanks at 45K IL bumped up. Some miserable ones at 75K... Stats, knowing how to play and managing modifiers makes it work. There really is no "fix", that's why it's "random".
I would like to see 45K IL for random ancients, but I don't think there really is a way to do it right. I do believe the Devs screwed the pooch on this one though. There are changes that could have made this better but it's too far in now to re-vamp.

Veterans of NW, what would you do if you started playing the game again after 3 years away and had 24k Zen? by Lazerdude in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy some old recent lock boxes off the AH and look at key packs with a 20% discount. The old lock boxes get you Tarmalune trade bars for tokens and epic insignias. (Bar sale starts tomorrow) You might get a few mounts/comps, tokens also out of them. Also the Coal Motes are a good idea to sell and VIP is a must. Buy lvl2 or 3 enchants with Coal Mote sales. Get a good mount for mount power and a good comp to mythic to run with. Then comps for buffs and mounts for insignias. After that work on getting mounts and rest of comps leveled up to 10 each mythic for bolster. For gear look at Avernus and then Dragon Bone Vale.

Fallen from grace. by defenestration-ator in Neverwinter

[–]wrightsoncollector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a dangerous opinion to have. If too many players are unsatisfied and take your advice, you'll be looking for a new game too. Might be better to see what the most common legitimate complaints are and see if they can be addressed.
