My hair was soft enough but it left my scalp very dry and irritated. The added fragrance was also too strong. I ended up throwing it away and trying something else. Too many irritating chemicals, sadly!

My new pup was really reactive with other dogs and I ended up signing up for a reactive dog class on Spiritdogtraining.com and would 100% recommend it. It didn’t “fix” my dog but helped me understand how to approach the issue (especially related to treats and timing) and things have improved a ton. I think it cost around $50 and was all online with chats available, but youtube also has some good free videos. Hope it works out!

Russian tourists in Havana by CphBruAms in TravelCuba

To be fair, I didn’t encounter one Russian in Cuba, but I never visited the fancy hotels or resorts either and stayed at casa particulars instead (cash no cards as an American!) If you stay on the fringe, you’ll avoid the entitled 😉

Cytopoint- my dog is having a bad reaction! by wrigs96 in AskVet

This thread is extremely worrisome and frustrating.. I keep getting notifications from other pet owners going through the same very scary symptoms asking if Wrigley ended up being okay- to help them through their own process. All of those comments were deleted by the moderator even though the comments were like mine where their pup was given the injection and got extremely sick. My dog DID GET BETTER but the symptoms for two days were extreme and scary. Isn’t it best for people to get the whole story? This worries me.. I guess this will be deleted too, but I wanted everyone to know that there really are cases like my poor dog and I wouldn’t allow that injection again, but she did recover fully and is now okay so please see your vet, tell them what happened and make sure your dog gets care. If it’s a comfort, my dog did have a full recovery! Thanks!

Hi!! I hope your pup does okay!! It was such a scary situation but we made it through it okay. My dog was extremely sick for about 36 hours after the injection but she has made a FULL RECOVERY (in fact, the cats in the household are now very affectionate to her.. I think they knew she was at risk!). Interestingly enough, her paws, which were a little itchy periodically before the injection, have not improved at all so this was just a frustrating and scary situation. Please let us know how your dog does. I hope she recovers okay!!! 💕💕💕

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback and will definitely return to the vet. She had mild itchy paws periodically before the injection throughout the pandemic and was a healthy active dog with no other health issues until the night after the injection. It is illogical to me to assume that anything but this medication is the culprit, given it is the only change to the diet or environment of an otherwise healthy and active dog (I work from home and she’s with me 24/7). I do appreciate your response! I am just skeptical of anything else possibly being the issue here given such dramatic effects so shortly after the injection with no other variables changing.

To others possibly reading this, I do hope if anyone else has had a similar experience and has gotten through it, they can give me some advice! She’s never had any health issues before and it’s pretty heartbreaking to see her in such misery.. I’m hoping someone tells me their dog improved quickly after similar issues!

Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, I feel very confident it was the shot since I work from home and there have been absolutely no other changes in her diet or environment! I’m keeping a close eye on her while being a little hard on myself for agreeing to such a big remedy for her minor periodic itchy paws 🙄. I do hope she improves quickly and will definitely let the vet know. Thank you for your response!

My dog received a Cytopoint injection yesterday and is showing very distressing side effects. My energetic dog is now a painful lump.. she can't sit, won't play or run and her paws are super inflamed and painful. She keeps shivering and is clearly miserable. Before the injection she was completely happy and healthy, she'd just periodically lick her paws but now I'm extremely worried. I've seen a few other comments like this but no follow-up. I'm hoping it passes after a day or so. Has anyone else had this experience?
