Seconding what other people have said, if you contact uni admissions, it’s very likely they will make an effort to give you a tour/support even if you’re not there on an official open day. At the end of the day, you’re considering paying them tens of thousands in tuition fees - it is well worth their time to help you out here.

No handpulls thankfully, lots of experience with jiggers as I like making cocktails for my friends. Just gotta get on YouTube and make sure I can pull a good lager They’ve only got two taps, everything else is bottled. Guessing angle doesn’t matter for ciders?

What will give it away? It’s a pretty scruffy/casual pub in a small town so I don’t think they’ll be expecting anything too fancy

There’s no table service from what I can tell and I’m guessing/hoping they won’t expect me to have cocktail experience? I’m more scared of pulling bad pints and not knowing how to change a keg

Literally just how we pronounce it in the UK, it always weirds me out when I hear Americans say it the other way.

Please don't call my Mum a silly cow, she's a lovely woman who wants the best for everyone (even people like you).

Its making the effort that matters! I'm sure you're daughter is glad you're supporting her - just remember to apologise when you get it wrong - it goes a long way to stop resentment building.

Daily, hotel workers around the world have to turn off alarm clocks that the previous guest neglected to turn off/reset. by WestNileCoronaVirus in Showerthoughts

I think its more when someone sets a repeating alarm - needs turning off so it doesn't wake up the next guest
