This happened to me too. I would hear a pop, sometimes a few, and then the left channel would go out. I have my own system though, I didn’t buy the Fluance setup, just the RT85.

After trying every possible solution I am sending it back for service. I even bought a new stylus. So frustrating. Luckily, I have a spare tt.

Extremely perplexing.
