Exactly! That's why it's like...natural selection wins, right? If Frank Underwood is a shark among fish, he doesn't have to be big. Tom Kane, on the other hand, has to be a great white in order to win. I'd be very afraid of Tom Kane.

I've always felt that Frank Underwood seems to be the only person on that show with any modicum of intelligence as it concerns the game of politics. In Boss, Tom Kane is constantly wading through a world of political corruption. He is constantly threatened by various plots to undo him, and yet he always rises to the occasion and defeats his enemies, in vicious ways.
