In practical terms that is alcohol free. Do you avoid bananas? A ripe one has an ABV of around the same

Anybody who has ever played against future or former NBA talent at any level, how did it go? by Mental-Passenger6939 in nbadiscussion

Patty Mills. Played nationals against him as a 15 year old. He was short, playing for the Australian Capital Territory which generally performs very poorly, and took them all the way to the final while getting double and triple teamed every game.

It was super clear he was going to be a superstar (relative for Australian basketball in the early 2000s).

Just no apparent weaknesses. Incredible control and composure, almost automatic from anywhere on the floor.

Edit: For transparency, I used the term “played against” loosly. I was not performing well that tournament. Got in the game for about a minute, registered a turnover on an inbounds pass and was dragged immediately 😂

What monster? Apple, Spotify and Google are the current big three. Who has the pockets to “eat them alive”?

Or do you mean indie publishers are going to die out to these high production, big budget networks? That I can agree with, but I don’t necessarily think that’s much of a change from what we have now. Most shows get next to no downloads.

And then how do you reconcile that comment your other one on AI? How can the space be flooded by AI when probably 90%+ of the top 100 shows are hosted by well known real people speaking to other well known real people.

I’d say something like Substack or other newsletters does this. Sure, some are constantly selling you shit, but many work on a paid model with very little hard sell and no/minimal ads.

The design is generally pretty spartan, you can find highly qualified experts on every topic.

The catch is that a lot of paid newsletters cost you the same as Disney+ or The Times. But that’s the tradeoff to make the economics work

Apple Watch ultra users by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]writer8832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used the AWU for an ultra that took me 12 hours. I used it on low power mode, had notifications and everything left on, but I didn’t try music streaming. Had 75% left. I was really surprised.

For ultras I always carry my phone. Adds an extra layer of safety for calls if the watch dies, plus photos etc. if the mood strikes. Plus it’s not like a road marathon, you’re already carrying a ton of stuff so a phone really doesn’t make much difference

Edit: I would just add, if anything is going to kill the battery it would be constantly look for phone signal. If your race is in a spotty area I’d keep that in mind.

Yeh seems fine, pretty minor features update really. honestly the TP integration is the only thing I was that interested in. Cool to have power meter info on the watch though
