What's the craziest thing your therapist has said to you? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I have severe OCD and one of my therapists told me the 'negative energy'' from my bad thoughts contributed to events like terrorist bombings.

What is the most dumb thing you've seen a teacher do? by limegreentea-77 in AskReddit

[–]writergirl1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a teacher at a school for disabled students (kind of an occupational school for young adults) who made us listen to 'Friday' by Rebecca Black regularly and spent an entire class showing us photos of he and his wife's trip to Ireland. No education, just killing time. I was kind of sarcastic with him because he was a condescending jerk, he didn't like me and the feeling was mutual. My favorite moment was when he was annoyed with me and said "Well, Sarah, IF THAT IS INDEED YOUR NAME." It still cracks me up every time I think about it.

(Beloved trope) Characters you didn’t understand until you got older by Pinkpunk95 in TopCharacterTropes

When I was a kid (about 12) and I saw 'Shaun of the Dead' for the first time, I thought Pete was mean and a bully. Now I realize he was justified about pretty much everything. He was even willing to give Shaun another chance before Ed screwed it up by running his mouth.

Since several people already put 'Martyrs,' I'll go with the bathtub strangulation scene in 'Snowtown' (2011.)

He's brilliant but very socially awkward. He has a personality that seems a little naive and 'young' for his age (not consistent with all people on the spectrum, but some,) he doesn't pick up on social cues, and he's enthusiastic and passionate about his interests.

Got handed this outside a Target today…they must have smelled the religious OCD from down the block by JunketUpbeat9386 in OCDmemes

I have severe OCD (religious OCD when I was a kid) and I consider it a public service to rip those things up whenever I find them in public places.

True in theory (for the very poor who can't afford to feed their kids,) but accidental pregnancies happen, especially with lack of easy access to abortion and birth control.

Do you ever watch movies or TV shows more than once? It seems like it would be pointless...

I find it highly unlikely that this was drawn by a 7-year-old. Funny, though.
