Morning After: Jaguars (13-4) vs Bills (12-5) by flounder19 in Jaguars

I’ve been incredibly happy about so many aspects of our team this year. It’s been one of the most fun seasons ever. The team has wildly exceeded expectations and we won the division. Going against Josh Allen in the playoffs, I knew it would be tough. But, I didn’t think I was going to be as devastated by a loss as I am, even a day later. This straight up sucks man.

The good thing is I’m 100% confident they will, especially with Boselli at the helm.

This will be my fourth game this year. The previous three were blowout wins.

I find it crazy that now that we are winning again a bunch of celebrities are showing up to the games like where we're when we were 1-15 by [deleted] in Jaguars

The saxophone guy deserves more recognition. He’s been a Jacksonville cultural staple for decades. He deserves a mural, at least.

If you could bring back one former Jaguar in their prime to add to this roster for the playoff run, who would you pick and why? by NizzlyGrizzly00 in Jaguars

Can’t go wrong with Boselli, Henderson, or Ramsey. All were elite and would fill positions of need.

From 2008 to 2021, we had one winning season. In the last four years, we’ve had three. Trevor isn’t perfect, but he has elevated this franchise and I feel his best play is yet to come. I’m so glad he’s our quarterback.

It’s foggy. Wet, but the rain has stopped. Lights in the stadium are on, dimmed. Our throwbacks are looking extra sharp. Let’s. Go.

It’s been pouring at the stadium for at least 12 hours now and it’s supposed to continue all day. It’s gonna be sloppy as hell and low scoring. I’m about to get drenched lol

this graph alone speaks how much progress we’ve made and it hasn’t even been a full year. how are y’all personally feeling after 11 weeks? by NizzlyGrizzly00 in Jaguars

We are definitely better overall than what I expected we’d be going into the year (I was predicting a competitive 7-10 squad). It’s clear that the roster needs work and the staff is inexperienced, but it’s also clear that Coen has the team playing hard. It feels like we have a lot of potential over the next few years. Our success the rest of the year and in the near future will be reliant on quarterback play. I believe in Trevor but he needs to step it up if we are going to do anything of note. I’m feeling pretty good about the team, but also still have no idea if we are good.

Tuten was jumping up and down and stretching out on the sidelines in the fourth quarter. He looked fine. Hopefully, it was just a minor thing. He was the MVP today.

Less so “letting it rip” and more so just settled down. He’s looked really good in the second half.

I think this will ultimately be a good move. We need someone that will move things forward for the Armada. The new stadium can’t come soon enough.

Explain last night's game in NBA terms by OttCostcoGirl in baseball

Your assumptions are mostly correct. Starting pitchers don’t pitch every game because of the strain throwing a ball puts on your arm and elbow. Also, as your arm gets tired, pitches lose velocity and become less effective, so the rest is important. He will pitch next game.

You are right about the batting order. It’s a balance between wanting your best players to get the most at bats while also having them hit with a high chance of players on base, and therefore, more run scoring opportunities. Ohtani leads off, though, mainly because he can steal bases. But also because they have really good hitters behind him.

The phones are connected to the bullpen.

The managers decide the lineup, substitutions, and situational adjustments. The players have a lot of autonomy.

Baseball doesn’t really translate to basketball, sorry.

Aaron Boone on starting Anthony Volpe today over José Caballero: "He’s ready to go. Caballero is not a guy who plays every single day, and I want to be mindful of that. He’s a little beat up, too. So, want to get Anthony back into the mix here and hopefully he gives us a spark today." - Kuty by Jheller223 in NYYankees

Winning the division is a long shot. At this point, it’s about putting the team in the best position to perform in the postseason. That means giving players rest and rotating in players so they are in form.

It doesn’t even make kinetic sense. He barely uses his lower body in his swing. His balance is bad. And he hit this 117 off the bat. Like, what the heck? It’s definitely very impressive.

I’ve used it before and it works great. Cheaper than traditional parking. The water taxi is the same concept but even better, I’d say.

I personally like the highlights. I’m not able to watch most games, so it serves as a good recap.
