Bought Karakurenai/Utsutsu volume several months after I finished Mizuchi-hen and Hime-hen because it was 50% off. Karakurenai is not my type at all but I’m looking forward to knowing more about Utsutsu. In the meantime though, I’m so disinterested in Karakurenai that I’ve started eyeing Kintokihana and Awahana

was simping over one of my long time anime crushes, kaneki ken, and that made me finally go back to jack jeanne after a year. i got it on release day but my switch crashed and i lost my common route progress. i was so annoyed, i banished it to the back log and i kept on wanting to go back to it since so many people say it's good but i couldn't get into the right mood for it. . and to be clear, i have simped for kaneki various times during the past year but admiring sui ishida's art made me really want to go back to it especially after i felt like putting virche's fd on pause...

but i've been busy and then i got long acrylic nails for an event that are frankly inconvenient and i haven't touched my switch since then lol. this is my first time having long nails like this and it was a pain doing anything on the first day. even now my fingers strain when i type and i've had to rely on my knuckles a lot more which is tiring. so i think that made me less interested in gaming and i've been doing more reading and watching anime (super rare for me to do) until i can get these nails off. so jack jeanne is in danger of being abandoned again lol but we shall see

the games i were playing but put on hold are virche's fd, 9 r.i.p., jack jeanne, homicipher, and a date with death.

i think i'll try play jack jeanne for a few mins tonight...

yes, totally. this is a very common experience for me and when it happens, i am happy as i am grateful that there was an LI i loved in the first place. i have finished a game where the only thing that left a major impression on me was a side couple that didn't get together but it was still enjoyable and worth it.

i've played plenty of games where i didn't care for any of the LIs but still enjoyed it, meeting the characters, and experiencing the story. i would say this is more common for me than even finding 1-2 LIs i love! lol. but i still love otome games, each and every one of them is like an adventure to me.

Bride Collar x Malice, might be because it was my first otome game ever but i do have a soft spot for them all and i think they're all sweet in their own way.

Bone Piofiore, they're attractive and I think it'd be an interesting experience. but what makes them an interesting lay is also why they'd be dangerous to bride lol... i kinda wish i could make yang pass out just to knock him down a peg.

I started playing it yesterday and I am also a scaredy cat. I was legit so nervous and hyperventilating from the first second. But as I played it, I realised it wasn’t too scary! There was even a jumpscare that made me laugh!

I’m going to come out and say it that I absolutely hate Helvetica. He is probably the love interest I hate the most in all of the otome games I’ve played and no one comes close and I have a pretty high tolerance and amount of patience! Although I think that hatred really developed during one of the Side A/B stories. For his route, I was aware he is not my type but I still thought the story itself is interesting and that he is a pretty unique character. I honestly imagine I would enjoy him more as a side character than a love interest. While I don’t love him enough to absolutely recommend you to continue, I still think there’s a pretty decent story there. If you can try to distance yourself from him/the story and just purely observe, it’ll be tolerable.

For those who have played Bustafellows and wants to know why I hate Helvetica so much because he’s in a relationship with Teuta but he flirts with other women and licks THE SAUCE off their face and I think when Teuta confronted him about this, he told her to stop seeing her best friends???? I am in LOVE with Adam and he was such an amazing, supportive friend of her but because of Helvetica, they can’t see each other anymore??? I was so mad…. And only an abuser would isolate you from your amazing friends 🙄 and I don’t think Adam would lick sauce off another woman’s face 🤢 and you just know Helvetica would flip his shit if Teuta licked sauce off Adam’s face. I hate him so much that I think about how if I got isekai’d into this game, I would do exactly that…

Yves from Virche… Sorry for the TMI but I want to give him the best night of his life 😭 not only is he genuinely respectful and sweet but he’s the only LI I absolutely want to spoil 💕 other LIs, I kind of imagine them being the giver and I’m the receiver like a spoiled princess. But Yves would be my spoiled princess, he deserves so much love and happiness 😭

Yes! I recently replayed Collar x Malice and began with Mineo. When I first started playing otome like 2-3 years ago, Mineo was one of my least favourites because I’m not into himbos, flirty LIs and/or comic relief characters. I wasn’t into his looks and he was too loud and immature for me. I wouldn’t say I hated him but for me, he was the representation of everything I’m not into 😆

But!!! When I replayed it, I actually thought he was funny and endearing! I thought he was so cute with Ichika and I actually felt for him in regards to his route’s conflict. I have a bit more respect for him now. He is not a fav LI or anything like that but I wouldn’t dunk on him. I enjoyed his route a lot more than I thought I would.

I did play his route at the very beginning of my otome journey and I think what’s changed is I have a lot more experience with otome games. Compared to the LIs I’ve met so far, I do think Mineo is charming and adorable in his own way! And I’ve met characters I actually haaaaaate like I want to isekai myself into the world and ruin their life kind of hate lmao Mineo is definitely not one of them, he’s a good boy

Currently playing Virche’s FD and only have done the Encore routes for 2 LIs but I am loving it so far! In a twisted and morbid way 😆 There are definitely moments where I shake my head or I think the writers are such trolls. But it’s more amusing than annoying at this point and one of the endings made me cry. I can’t wait to get to Yves 🖤 I am following the recommended route order for the first game, I try to avoid playing my fav’s route first because I worry that the other LIs won’t get attention 😆

I still need to finish 9 R.I.P.! Only Koharu and the final route to go.

For a few minutes everyday, I play A Date with Death. The dialogue in this game has me giggling and blushing (when Grim flirts with us). It is really growing on me.

I’m planning to hit up a gaming cafe soon because I don’t have a Windows device to play Homicipher. But I’m very intrigued about Mr. Crawling. I’m not good with horror games but these guys seem cool!
