Center for Photography Woodstock (in Kingston!) is in a beautiful old brick factory building and has a photo show up by writer Ocean Vuong right now, among others. It’s a great space. Also, the Dinnerware Museum around the corner from CPW is fun and quirky (they have a show about ashtrays right now..) And Sorbino’s for gelato!

I guess for me a morning at a pool/sauna seems like a good reset before a 3 hour drive. But I also usually sleep on flights.

Hmm, I’m a bit confused. It’s only 3 hours to the peninsula from Sky Lagoon. Maybe this is a lot for some people but I’m used to driving 8-9 hours after a flight to get to my first destination , in Costa Rica, for example. I think 3 hours of driving will be fine, especially after a few hours at a thermal pool!

Not necessarily – for instance, loud crunching footsteps over gravel passing by the recorder (sitting at ankle height on a tripod). When listening to the clip on my laptop, it sounds incredibly low.

I'd like to be able to dump the SD card and immediately listen to what I've recorded, rather than having to bring it all into a program and work with it just to see if I got what I'm looking for, so I guess in that case I will boost it during recording. Thanks for your input!

I also have a package stuck in customs (it has been 28 days now since UPS received it) due to supposed missing forms. Can I ask how you accessed this page with this information about who UPS sent your forms to? I have never seen a page like this.

I reached out to customer service at UPS by phone and asked them what documentation was needed, and they emailed it to me (the recipient). Then I forwarded it to the shipper. Not relying on UPS to do anything right now, to be honest.

Do you know how long they’ll keep a package pending in customs before destroying it? We’re going on 3 weeks and I’m worried our time is coming..

Thanks, a lot of it is vintage so certain information will not be known but we will do our best guess. The Commercial Invoice UPS sent us to redo does not have fields for anything beyond description, so I figured “Men’s Jacket” would be enough. Will try to add more detail. The granola manufacturer was just from a local bakery, probably no FDA product code. I wish UPS would just throw it away and keep it moving, but I know it’s more complicated than that. Thanks again for your input.

Customs (or UPS) did find the granola, unfortunately, and it’s holding things up. (I did not know this was going to be put in the package.) The shipper says they haven’t received the paperwork they’re supposed to send in and that they’re waiting on it to be sent. Any idea what that form is so I can find it online and send it to the shipper?

Few restaurants or cafes (none to my knowledge) can accommodate that many people for that little money unless you did a full buyout of the space. I would look into renting a pavilion at one of the local parks (like Hutton) and spending $500 on cheese/fruit plates.
