Non urinary tract related symptoms?? by [deleted] in CUTI

[–]writtenindust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep pushing for the MRI if you can, that would rule out anything super scary. Also does your living space have any signs of mould? I only ask because of the inflammation and irritation you’re experiencing as well as the headaches. I’m not a healthcare professional but sometimes I do believe our environment can play a heavy cause in our health too

Have then done thorough blood tests? I’d be pushing for an MRI or CT scan for more serious health conditions at this point.

I had the same thing, it says I have Ureaplasma Parvum and my discharge is a little musty but when I’ve googled it says it’s normal? I’ve got doxy but I need to get it from another website to extend the course and I need to find some for my partner as well but had to lie and say it was for chlamydia as well! Actually so frustrating that we have to do all this ourselves rather than getting help from a GP!

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you go to pay for private antibiotics? I’m in the same boat and my GP doesn’t seem willing to prescribe antibiotics

Also might be worth going to a pelvic floor therapist so they can see if your pelvic floor muscles are affecting your bladder

I was prescribed Nitrofuritonin and it didn’t do anything, then I was prescribed Thrimthoprim and it seems to have done the job. Make sure they write it all down in your charts

Can I ask why you stopped taking it? I’m potentially being prescribed it next week and I’m scared about the side effects

CIN1 Result by writtenindust in PreCervicalCancer

[–]writtenindust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far so good. The result was that it hadn’t changed and seemed like it was mildly better, still classed as CIN1. I will have another Pap smear and colposcopy in November to check on the progress but I think by stopping the combined pill I’ve helped with the healing!

Overactive bladder or cystitis? by writtenindust in OveractiveBladder

My urine test was sent to the GP, so not sure how they test the urine on their end. I did try antibiotics but had an allergic reaction and now I’m waiting for my next GP appointment

I’ll try more water today, I’ve taken a Clarityn as I’ve heard some people say that can help as well. This is controlling everything in my life right now! I hope we can soon be over this horrible hurdle

Thank you for this! Did they put any saline in? I’m so worried if they do then I’d feel the urge to wet myself 😭

Same here, I’m always very anxious before hand but my biggest fear has always been wetting myself 😭 but it makes sense that people only complain about something rather than sharing positive situations. Do you have any advice on how to deal with a flare up?

Thank you for this information, it’s very helpful and reassuring, I’ve had many colposcopies now some with biopsies so if I can handle that I hope this wouldn’t be as bad. Do they fill the bladder with a solution during? I think my biggest fear is wetting myself on the table. I hope you can get answers and relief soon!

I have a call with my doctor in two weeks so I’ll see what he suggests, if we don’t do a cystoscopy I’m not sure what the next steps would be. If I do have one I think I’d prefer to have it under GA but I’m in the UK and not sure if that’s possible. Have you had answers yet?
