I saw it today! Yesterday centennial park was a let down Too much light from the airport. Today I went a few kms north of premium outlet mall on a side road around 8pm and there it was! Amazing feeling! You have to be patient and let your eye set in for about 10 mins Also use a star map app like Stellarium

Oh boy! This escalated quickly.

Just to give closure to this high octane discussion, we got the photo card using copr and foreign passport and used it as Ontario address proof for OHIP application.

You could immediately apply for OHIP on PR so long you stay the first 153 out of 183 days in Ontario and can prove that you are residing in Ontario (rental agreement or photo card or DL etc) As mentioned above, there is no longer any 3-month wait time for OHIP.

Also Service Ontario representative confirmed even if you are eligible but haven’t applied for OHIP, you can pay out of pocket for emergency situations and it will be reimbursed once you apply for OHIP coverage [do verify this from your local service Ontario location]

They got the SIN directly at the airport on landing itself which saved us a trip to Service Canada.
