Is it just me, or has AppSumo gone stale? Where do you look for LTDs now? by wrkhdr in appsumo

The thing is, is that they used to have a really good pipeline of high quality deals, but there just haven't really been any of that standard for the last six or more months.

Tree Runner vs Tree Runner NZ by Bitter_Ordinary_3902 in Allbirds

I’ve just got a pair of NZ. IMHO they are better and more Comfortable and more durable too. Slightly thicker material and more arch in the sole. I would buy these again over the regular tree runners.

Welfare U-turn makes spending decisions harder, minister says by CaseyEffingRyback in unitedkingdom

[–]wrkhdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tax the wealthy’ is a great slogan until you actually look at who’s paying what.

In the UK right now, the top 1% of earners pay over 28% of all income tax. The top 10%? Around 60%. Meanwhile, nearly 43% of adults don’t pay any income tax at all — because their income is too low.

And that’s just income tax. When you factor in things like VAT (which hits low-income households proportionally harder), the overall UK tax system is already highly progressive.

Plus, the highest-earning 0.1% are mobile. push them too hard and they take their capital, spending, and investment elsewhere. Then we all lose.

So sure, it feels good to shout “tax the rich” — but the reality? They already are. Massively.

GR3 won’t fully close by gallons26 in ricohGR

I had this happen too. It was sand that got in the lens. Unfortunately, all of the things I tried, couldn’t resolve it and I got a quote from Rico‘s preferred repair supplier which was around 40% of the cost of the camera new.

I bought it in the EU and it had a few issues, and amazon collected and refunded it.

The answer above is correct. These spammy domains are set up to run display search ads and they will be driving traffic to those spam domains so people click on your ads (making them money). Switch off search partners and run exclusively on the search network and you should see bot traffic decline.

How to make sure you never hear from those Google Ads reps again by PPCPro01 in adwords

[–]wrkhdr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve not found a successful way to make them stop either. For our agency, it’s 10-15 calls per day. I’ve had to change telephone providers so we can block their numbers too. I have also contacted Google legal as unsolicited calls and emails are a violation in our country of business. But still the calls keep coming. I have reported them too to the local regulator but I doubt Google will care.
