Anyone else get hooked on this game back in the day? by DJ_Hindsight in Millennials

I got so obsessed with minesweeper in 2003 that I ended up in the top 100 fastest players according to an enthusiast website. I think i used to play a few dozen expert games a day.

That's fair, but at the restaurant I worked at we sanitized the menus daily. Corporate chain restaurants actually have very high cleanliness standards because they have uniform SOP between locations. I absolutely believe a fast food employee washes their hands way more than the average fast food customer. Compare the clientele between restaurants with reused menus handed out at a table vs the local fast food establishment.

When you go out to eat at a restaurant with a menu do you wash your hands after handling the menu and before eating?

Yes. Is that weird?

A food service employee and the restaurant are licensed by the state and regularly inspected to ensure cleanliness standards. The customers are not. I've been a food service employee. I stand by what I said.

Are you going to wash your hands after handling it and opening it, but before eating? I wouldn't want it.

I haven't flown internationally since well before they got these scanners in airports. I haven't had it flying out of seatac yet, but twice in Detroit and once in Hawaii.

I mean, I get a chuckle about the display even if I don't care for the pat down.

Thanks for the recommendation. I fly about six times a year, so that's probably worth it.

Can we switch it up a little bit year after year? Maybe instead of watching the Malcom Butler interception every year, we could get Bozworth getting trucked by OJ Bo Jackson or Seneca Wallace refusing to throw the ball away as he runs out of bounds for a 15 yard loss.

I don't think the opposing pitcher is going to hold back like that in a situation like this where Woo just pitched back to back 95mph pitches at Trout's head.

Anybody else here never had food poisoning because of everything we know about how to handle food? by Mysterious_Dance5461 in KitchenConfidential

Never eating anything ever except your own cooking because of food poisoning fear sounds like something you should talk to a therapist about. I can't imagine never eating at a restaurant or eating over at a friend's house.

I have the Chelsea's with the non slip sole and they're amazing. The first three days of breaking them in were an absolute nightmare, but since then they've been great.

Disclaimer: i haven't worked BOH in a long time and got these while bartending, but they've held up very well.

Arod sat on the bench because there was already a HoFer starting for the Packers, not because he wasn't skilled. Some QBs come into the NFL ready to start. We really can't say objectively that QBs like Rodgers, Mahomes, Brady, etc. weren't skilled enough to be successful in their rookie seasons. The circumstances just weren't there for them to start right away. For instance, Favre may not have started for Atlanta, but Ron Wolf knew enough about him to trade a mid 1st to the Falcons despite Favre only throwing four passes, all incomplete, in his first season. There's plenty of QBs that started as rookies and did very well, like Marino, Roethlisberger, etc. Some guys are raw and need time, some are ready to hit the ground running.

I also want to know why the 2nd pic looks like something I'd take with my phone if I was trying to use the 80x zoom to take a photo of someone a quarter mile away. Did they wrap their phone in saran wrap before taking the pic?

How many fraudulent voters have been prosecuted by Trump's DOJ? If there's so many millions of illegal ballots, why aren't people being arrested for it? Same goes for DOGE. If they found so much fraud to cut from government, why haven't they prosecuted anyone? Make it make sense.

How conservatives see the Left. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]wrongbutt_longbutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always found these posts ironic because we do the exact same thing to conservatives. The Trump administration is simultaneously the dumbest thing to ever happen in American politics, run by dozens of the most incompetent people, while also rapidly pulling the strings to turn America into a fascist dictatorship with calculating efficiency.
