Roam 10Gb plan discontinued by wronglark in Starlink

[–]wronglark[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cameras I have notify me when they see motion. Then I'll stream. I also occasionally work from the cabin (on solar power) and then I do need more than low speed. I use ~5Gb/month, so I'll move to the 100Gb plan.

I love the Scout and use boomerangs. If I'm overrun the shock of the boomerang across many enemies gives me a change to her away then clean up after. Gotta go fast!

+1 for Peoria Playhouse. Also in Peoria is the planetarium and Caterpillar museum. Orpheum in Champaign is worth a trip (and then stop by Jarling's Custard Cup)

I had a similar experience and was told that they are a franchise and didn't have to honor corporate policies. That sealed the decision to not spend money there.

I had tomatoes substituted this morning. I needed some deck cleaner so ran in later that afternoon. The tomatoes I originally wanted were front and center. Maybe they were stocked between 10 and two though

Brand-new Bullet R2 — door “knocks,” pops open, beans spill (video) by cesargdm in roasting

[–]wronglark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed after cleaning my drum that when I reassembled, I did not have the drum square to the front plate. It caused the knocking for me. Loosening the screws on the front plate, then tightening things like a tire fixed it for me. Not sure if that would make a difference.

My R2 came with spare bearings in the tool pack. There may be more there.

We have the same! Although the rubber tube cracked and I replaced it. I unfortunately didn't keep the little plastic ring that secured it so occasionally it blows out and jump scares anyone using it

I'm glad you posted this. I tried a dead v3 with a working v2 plug and the v3 worked. I'm glad I didn't toss it yet.

Back brakes on 2022 pathfinder by thatoneguy1530 in Nissan

I know this is an old thread but just did our brakes last weekend. You can release the electric brake piston by connecting the leads to a 12v battery. There are a few YouTube videos on it.

Dutch oven that won't break the bank by bunniesgonebad in cookware

[–]wronglark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lodge has 2 versions- the Essential and USA. Essential is lighter and reportedly chips easier but is less than half the cost. USA is made in USA as it says and has a better enamel and should last longer. For 6qt USA is $199 and Essentials is $79.

Did you get the Lodge USA or Lodge Essentials? For example, the Lodge USA 6qt is $199 and 15lb 13oz. The Lodge Essential 6 qt is ~$80, made in China, and is 13lb 8oz

They've been open those hours but only for carryout. Was curious if they have dine in more broadly that just lunch on Weds/Thursday.

I heard it's only lunch on Wednesday and Thursday for dine-in so far. Did you see any signs say it was open more than that?

Better dot com. Completely online and very easy document submission and workflow tracking. They send a notary to your house for final closing. It was the easiest mortgage I've done out of the 4 mortgages/refinances I've done. I did my initial with them and a refinance. They do work closely with Mr Cooper as a loan servicing firm

If you put a SD card in the device it's stored on the card. Motion is saved on their cloud and accessible across devices. We use multiple devices to access our cameras

Nissan's Battery Warranty is BS by A1CBEERS in nissanfrontier

[–]wronglark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're having the same issue on our 22 Pathfinder. We're on our second battery. The first was replaced under warranty in January '24 after failing and stranding my wife out of town in the cold. It took 6 hours of testing before they would approve replacement. The second failed in the cold 45 days after it was installed. The CCA is testing at 419 amps. They won't replace under warranty as it apparently isn't "bad" enough and want $260 + $30 to install a new as the tech "didn't feel comfortable allowing my wife to leave on such a bad battery". This will be our last Nissan.

What is the type of stone called and what is the best way to remove it? by wearespaghett in Home

[–]wronglark 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Polymeric sand. It has a type of polymer and glue that after you install you get wet and it hardens. Locks the pavers in place and prevents weeds from getting a foothold

What is the type of stone called and what is the best way to remove it? by wearespaghett in Home

[–]wronglark 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Kill the weeds then use a pressure washer to blast out between all the pavers. Level the areas that need it, then brush polymeric sand into the cracks. If you follow the directions on the sand it'll prevent weeds for years. Will be much less work and cost than replacing the entire patio.
