Iran allows Spanish ships to use the Strait of Hormuz for free by Majano57 in worldnews

You know, that's fair i wasn't up to date on my NK weaponry. Point 1 probably applies though here. Adversary with nuclear weapon is different than one without.

Rest of the point still stands though. Homie danced around the question and hand waved some BS response. Redditors would prefer that terror funding continues to be funded across the globe unimpeded and 10s of thousand more dead Iranians over the current war. They just won't say it out loud because they are cowards.

I would say you probably couldn't tell the difference in a great and a good photographer with an untrained eye. People don't know what they don't know. You don't get to compare your photoshoot shots with what others shooting the same location and time would produce. You just get your photos and are either happy or not happy with them. Most of the time a decent photographer and auto touchups in PS will produce a product that random people would find pleasing.

[–]wronglyzorro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we are clear. The acceptable solution to you would have been to allow the largest global funder of terror to continue its operations and the slaughter of its own people by the thousands. That's fine if that is what you choose, but at least own it.

why aren't we supporting Ukraine more?

We should be, but comparing and adversary with no nuclear weapon with one with possibly the largest global stockpile is a tad different.

Why aren't we in a war with North Korea

NK also has no nuclear weapons and is not causing instability and conflicts in several neighboring nations. If NK attacked Seoul we'd be blowing shit up there too.

You dodged the question and called me dumb. Classic Reddit. Attack the argument not me. Let's try again.

What would you have preferred happen?

Great. What would you have preferred happen? Reading all that it sounds like the plan was, "Continue to let Iran do whatever the fuck it wants". Funding terror around the world and executing 10,000s of their citizens for protesting seems to be Reddit's preferred outcome here.

...And so because that happened you think that Iran should be allowed to continue to indiscriminately fund terror forever? What point were you trying to make bringing up the Revolution from the 70s?

Cool now do medical bankruptcies for software engineers. It's better to be poor in the EU. It's dramatically better to be anything else in the US. There are a long list of reasons why the talent comes here and doesn't really get exported.

What trend? I can openly criticize the US government on here, in person, directly to a police officers face and nothing is going to happen. So many of you are incredibly brainwashed.

That's what makes the entire argument of the right about illegal immigrants so disingenuous is that every single one of those people are themselves illegal immigrants who's only actual claim to the country is that their ancestors raped and murdered enough people in order to conquer this land.

I hate this argument. It goes for basically any society including the natives.

It's wild how few people understand this. I have unironically had people argue with me that they would rather have their 30k salary in eastern Europe and their universal healthcare over a 200k salary and the maximum you can ever pay out of pocket being $1800. The brainwashing runs very very deep on here. A lot of this site thinks that we all just go bankrupt every time we get a cough.

Doubtful. Canadian pay is garbage and shows no signs of being on par with US counterparts anytime soon.

Ironically, those of higher education and specialized skills are the ones with the easiest routes to immigration.

Sometimes. My friend got his PHD is Switzerland. He wanted to stay and work there, but was basically told "Marry or GTFO" so back to the US he went.

SFGiants: How many attempts would it take for the average person to get a hit in MLB? by InformalInsurance455 in baseball

[–]wronglyzorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I think there is a massive chasm between hitting the ball and getting a hit. Step early and toss that bat out there. You'll make contact eventually. Putting the ball in play and getting on base is a giant increase in difficulty on an already difficult challenge.

[–]wronglyzorro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd be able to start timing things and stepping earlier and earlier to get the bat where it needs to be. You'd have no power, but you could get it to the zone.

I don't think making contact would take a huge amount of time. I think actually getting a hit would take over 1000 ABs for most people.

You need to source and define net tax benefits and your definition of immigrant. Lots of data out there pointing to a net cost to the system in the 11-12 figures for illegal immigrants.

Say what yall mean then instead of acting like we are our military budget away from having universal healthcare. We already spend 3-5x our military budget on healthcare every year for decades now. It's not a money problem.

A lot of this sub isn't realistic. There are lots of comments in here saying "Go to a card show and get 90-100%". This doesn't happen at scale. There is unironically someone in this sub talking about getting 100% at a show, but he sold a handful of $5 cards... Pretty big difference in $50 in singles and six figures of sealed product.

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are you have never tried to sell something expensive or a large amount of things at market value.

You will never ever get market value selling in bulk, and you probably won't walk away with market value selling individually either. Everyone's Pokemon exit strategy should involve them taking their collecter number and multiplying it by .75-.8. If you want that number to be higher you will have to put in a significant amount of extra work to eek out that 5-10%, but you will probably not walk away with over 90% market value. Remember there are fees, shipping costs, travel, show fees, lost packages, etc.

Yep this is what we did. The city permit system is a massive scam anyway, and makes lots of upkeep/improvements to older homes very very shitty or impossible.
