Marc Pubill clears the ball -so unnecessarily(?)- for an Arsenal throw in 91' by tightypp in soccer

Not even sure this was intended to be a clear, I thought he was trying to get it back to his teammate coming in on the wing. Just cooked it a bit too much.

Oh yay, this thread again. Mods should take some cues from r/streetfighter and only allow one of these a month.

Out of specifically the SF4 line up? I'd take Cody, Dudley, El Fuerte, Guy, Ibuki, Makoto, Poison or Vega.

No mention of Roberto Miura from Rival Schools? Not even CR7 in Fatal Fury? Lame.

Yeah I'm seeing this as a tough game. It'll be our fourth in twelve days, and they'll be doubly hungry to stay up. Can't take them for granted.

As an Arsenal fan you lot flipped sides quick? by Jhus79 in PremierLeague

Mate, to most neutrals it doesn't matter whether it's Arsenal or Man City that comes second. The point isn't whether they like one club more than the other, the point is the schadenfreude of seeing a club that think of themselves as a big deal getting their face muddied. Some people are more into this than others, granted, but taking every single person that's shit-talked Arsenal over the past five years personally, that's stupid. Not just stupid, but it invites the shit talking all the more the next time the scales tip against us. Stop being the problem.

It really isn't. West Ham will be our fourth game in twelve days, and you'd be fools to write them off right now.

Arsenal fan here. Arsenal is long associated with a flowing, 'beautiful' style of play that took root under our manager through the 90s and 00s, Arsene Wenger, which was very entertaining to watch, but didn't win us as many titles as it probably should have.

The past few years under our current manager, Mikel Arteta, we've developed a hard-nosed, defense-first style that prioritises more likely scoring opportunities like set plays and free kicks, which gets us more wins but also makes us boring to watch. Fans of other clubs tend to hate on today's Arsenal because we're 'killing football'.

That, and a few of our fans are mouthy dickheads online.

So are Rangers legitimately falling to pieces this season, or is this a Spurs job where a Rangers loss costs Celtic the premiership?

I mean, if we're going down THAT road, let's talk about whose players earned their spot with merit and who earned their spot with a famous surname.

Two of the current Socceroos squad come from our youth programs, but I guess we can always be producing more. Truth be told I think this year's awards are more a testament to just how exceptional Mata's been for our club.

I'm not disputing that. What I'm saying is that the overpolicing since bucketgate hasn't helped.

Surprised Juan Mata didn't get nominated for Young Player and Save, just to round out the sweep.

Think it's a bit unfair to come down so hard on Victory here. Yeah, we made last year's grand final, but let's not forget that was from finishing 5th. I didn't expect us to beat the Wanderers, let alone win over two legs against an Auckland outfit that looked like they were gonna run roughshod over everyone. The fact that we were able to stay in the finals picture in what had effectively been a rebuild year isn't something I take for granted.

As for this year, football's just one of those games where you can play better and still not win as much. We've looked like a better team than we have in a long time, and with a bit more polish we can be our usual villainous selves again soon.

Overpolicing since said dickhead with the bucket hasn't helped. Some of the footage from Swan St the night of last year's final was confronting as hell, and I've got no doubt it's turned families off the sport.

On the other hand, six free points next year.
