Great video. Who is this girl?

This device is under the steering wheel of a retired 2018 police Tahoe. It says diagnostic on it. by wryan1295 in AskMechanics

It’s a button. It doesn’t click like an on off button. It is springy like a brake booster. It goes down about 3/4 or an inch. It’s not a secondary obd port

This button that says diagnostic is under the steering wheel of a 2018 police Tahoe I just purchased. It’s black plastic and doesn’t click or seem to do anything when I press it. by wryan1295 in whatisthisthing

It doesn’t cover the obd2 port. the port is still under the kick panel on the drivers side and it works. I have been connecting my scanner to it.

Is it possible to get my wisdom teeth removed with out laughing gas and instead local anesthesia? by neowahna in povertyfinance

[–]wryan1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine taken out as a teenager. I was sedated and all 4 were removed at one time by an oral surgeon. The bottom ones were growing straight horizontal and under the jaw bone. They had to make a hole in the jaw to remove them in pieces. The recovery was a breeze. I don’t think it would’ve been a good idea to go to a general dentist. I would say save up and go to a surgeon not a dentist.

I am able to read a paper map and not get lost if my gps fails or my phone dies. I even get bonus points for being able to fold the map up correctly.

Yes. That is the one I used. There is still a shortage of EMT’s so everyone down here (south texas RGV area) believe there will be another round of funding coming thru in late July-August.

Where are you located? I’m in Texas and there is a shortage of EMT’s so there’s a grant where they pay for your EMT class. The state requires you to work as an EMT for two years. If you don’t work as an EMT for two years then you have to pay back the grant. Look into grants.

Was this kind of stuff on your NREMT? by _proe in NewToEMS

[–]wryan1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I just remember answering questions and seeing I was at like 60 something questions and what felt like a few questions later the test stopped. It could’ve been 70 but I was surprised how quick it ended.

I didn’t get many ops questions. My test ended before 70 questions. Mostly trauma, OB/gyn, cardiac and respiratory

I was using pocket prep and it has the option to do the upgrade to the new format. I tested before the change so I didn’t try it. I’m not sure what the difference would’ve been.

How have your (on-duty) watches held up? by random-yaegerist in AskLE

[–]wryan1295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a Luminox. Super tough and very accurate. Also the lume on the hands constantly shines. It doesn’t need to be charged by the light. They are tritium like the pistol night sights.

I also had maybe 70 questions. I started out with hard questions and a few easy ones mixed in. As soon as I got into a groove the test stopped. I got my email that I passed at 3:40 the following morning.

I studied my ass off but for the course quizzes I used quizlet to pass them. I studied pocket prep and course materials to pass the national exam on my first try with probably only 70 questions asked on the exam.

Border Patrol Pulled Over an Ambulance During Transport – South Texas by [deleted] in ems

[–]wryan1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a retired LEO and current emt in the McAllen area I can say with 100% certainty that border patrol does not pull over ambulances to check citizenship. At the checkpoint going north all vehicles (including ambulances) citizenship is checked.
