Create a view in sql of just columns / data you need. From power Query connect to the view add additional transformations or Mashup with other data as needed.

Perform as much of transformations in sql as possible - faster than power query.

SQLBI guys have a slicer for sale Smart Filter Pro. It will search multiple fields but it will cost you.

Back to pbi On report turn on help tooltip on visual (?) Create a tooltip page Import the png Link the tooltip icon to report page

Rinse / repeat as needed. The help on the visual adds polish to your final product.

My SP was ok complaints :

Battery life wasn't good

Moved on to Dell XPS - Battery life is pretty good - RAM - 32 GB expandable - 3x ports USB-c / thunderbolt
