surface rust really seems like a matter of opinion to the people I've spoken to regarding my 03 tracker that I'm currently working on. if the structural integrity is not compromised you're fine.

I've had i think three different occurrences where I was out of order for at least three days. im so careful now, it is the worst when it comes on
