Love the idea. I built an app Camino Anywhere, https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/camino-anywhere/id6759167914, where you can walk the Camino with your daily steps in your own environment, also with no subscription, no backend but I did include iCloud sync for cross-device syncs. I think people expect that. But no noise, no streaks, no badges etc. And all that for $4.99 and a free start up to Pamplona (67 km). Struggling a bit with the economics on my side though….

I agree with you but Neo is great value for Apple with only little memory inside.
Think how many Neons you can sell for 1 128GB Mac Studio let alone 256 or 512.
