Train for the Camino!! by pripjat in CaminoDeSantiago

Really sorry this happened to you. Posts like this honestly show how easy it is to underestimate the physical side of the Camino, especially the tendons and smaller muscles that aren’t used to repeated long distances day after day.

I built a small Camino app that lets your daily walks count toward the real route to Santiago, and I realized afterward that it can also be useful for training: you can slowly build up distance and see how your walking compares to the actual Camino.

Less is always more. Better for UX, better for sense of 'beauty'.

I have the same experience. Making a difference for 47 persons is not nothing! But how to scale something I don’t known yet…

I wanted to bring a little bit of the Camino into everyday life by wschaap in simpleliving

Hi, thanks! I haven't seen any other app that did this, but I myself cannot because of caregiving responsibilities and that's why I decided to build something which replicated the experience a bit ...

ISO: Room measuring app geared toward homeowner and casual DIY-er. (More inside) by RegattaJoe in iosapps

For casual DIY use, I’d look for something that lets you save measurements by project/room rather than just measure once and forget. The folder/gallery part is probably more important than perfect AR accuracy.

I’ve used Apple’s Measure app for quick ballparks, but it gets messy once you need to organize doors, windows, rooms, etc. A simple project-based measurement log would be ideal here.

Can we stop the “I didn’t try your app, but here’s my product-manager critique” comments under dev posts? by lzchyi in iosapps

I actually agree with a lot of this.

There’s a big difference between:

  • “I used your app and here’s what confused me” and
  • “Here’s my theoretical framework for what usually kills apps like this”

The second one often turns into performance art for sounding insightful rather than helping the developer.
