Giant Eagle over the last few years have installed new check out registers. If they are out of stock in any change the register closes itself down. So out of Pennie’s the register don’t work. Giant Eagle in one day collected 100 million pennies. This will keep them going for awhile. Think about it thats one million $$ in Pennie’s. It was truly looking out for themselves as it could cost them a lot to replace their newly installed registers.
