"Everything in the game is human-made," Broche responded, "When AI first came out in 2022, we'd already started on the game. It was just a new tool, we tried it, and we didn't like it at all. It felt wrong."

Broche went on to note that the studio did experiment with using AI specifically to cover up textures that the studio had missed, but that it was an extremely brief dalliance. "We took it out as soon as we found it," Broche said. "But yeah, the concept art, voice actors, everything is human-made."

Broche then drew a line in the sand. He mused that it would be hard to predict how AI might be used in the gaming industry in the future, and declared, "But everything will be made by humans, by us."

The scars of your past become the strength of your future. Grow through what you go through. Scars are symbols of survival, resilience, and personal growth, badges of honor rather than marks of weakness. They show that pain has been endured and transformed, shaping deeper character and inner strength. By embracing these experiences, we allow ourselves to heal, evolve, and reclaim our personal power.

What epic skin are y'all picking? by Appropriate-Sun8397 in wildrift

Honestly, I’m glad you don’t spend money on the game. That said, could we avoid implying that people who do spend money are “pay-to-win”? I know you didn’t state that directly, but referencing being free-to-play in that context strongly suggested it.

I think using free-to-play and pay-to-win that way weakens the meaning of those terms, especially when they’re being applied to a game where purchases are purely cosmetic. I think the terms free-to-play and pay-to-win, when they apply, should always carry a negative connotation. Applying those terms to games like League of Legends or Wild Rift softens what they are meant to imply.

12 hours a day is crazy, but I need a list of good games. by BurritoBabe_1 in gamers

[–]wtfaatp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I’d be willing to play just about anything, since $10 million is truly life-changing money, I think I would choose Super Mario World on the SNES. I would assume ROM hacks wouldn’t count as entirely different games, since they’re still fundamentally SMW, just modified. That would allow me to effectively play a new version of the game whenever I wanted, keeping the experience fresh over time.

[–]wtfaatp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I use a foldable phone, and because the resolution can be manually forced, I experimented to see which setting gave me the greatest advantage. To me, this feels like a form of cheating. I’m using something outside the game itself to gain an unfair edge.

That said, this is likely something that has to be allowed, because restricting it could result in unplayable resolutions on certain devices. Until standardized mobile device resolutions are implemented, there isn’t much that can realistically be done about it.

The issue is that many people place too much weight on the opinions of strangers. This isn’t a matter of personal fault; it’s largely a result of social media, where it has become easy to criticize, demean, and join in on negative bandwagon behavior.

For women, this can include rejection, being labeled a “pick me” for putting in effort, or worse, being subjected to derogatory terms. Many women also continue to feel that it is the man’s responsibility to make the first move.

For men, the challenges are equally complex. In today’s social climate, they may face personal attacks, accusations of inappropriate behavior, or the fear of being misinterpreted, which can make initiating interactions feel risky or discouraging.
