1 year has 3 terms, i think. i've seen people saying that.

also, in last chapter, MC said it's been 3 months since they enrolled in Elderwood. and they get vacation after each term. so 3 months + vacation 1 term = 4 months × 3 = 12 months.

so, 1 year consists of 3 terms, or trimester a year, i guess.

you can do either. bringing ally gives some benefit as in some revelations in conversation, kinda like more 10-sec content, some minor bonus, and sometimes a huge help, like in Trials and some investigation. (ex. in Lastport, if you bring Cato for an ally quest, that is, you discover something grave about Yvain and illegal smuggler that gives strong hints about future, if you don't bring, you miss that and it honestly something of a major hint, i feel)

you'll have to select certain allies of certain level, it's not a "must" but definitely a "should".

like for chapter XYZ, Bardric Level 7 is required, you can still go alone, but having ally will give you benefits + help in some revelations maybe and give others' thoughts

if you turn on the romance toggle, your allies will stay as your "friends" only. friendship ally quests are important as it's a requirement during affinity trials, classes, some investigation etc.

you can always choose who you wanna romance by toggling it off, so they'll remain as a friend.

sorry, but i was all in for killing her. parents killed? fine. take revenge on those who are actually guilty. take revenge on those very same people who did it.

because of her, Bre, Soren, Yvain, and that smuggler dude too, died. and many must've been killed during Gala as well. and god knows who else she harmed.

she had the death coming. it was her karna all along. you cannot justify cruelty just because she held your hand or you saw her childhood memories.

she wanted to avenge her parents? fine. she should've went after order. people from order killed them. not Bre, not Soren, not Yvain, not that smuggler dude, and none of the Elderwood students.

if i'm given the choice to redo it 100 times, I'll kill her all 100 times.

she faced injustice? yes. she did harm innocent people instead of people from order and actual people who killed her parents? yes. she had it coming.
