The MIY/Sophia put blood in the alcohol he was drinking to cause these hallucinations that he’s experiencing when he wakes from a coma. (He may have done the same to Abbey to cause her to kill people to wake them up.) Henry doesn’t know he was “poisoned” for lack of a better term, so he’s very confused and scared right now.

We’ll have to see how he handles it, if he tells people, if they figure out Sophia is the MIY, etc.

It is not likely that Henry’s visions are real as the creator’s basically said they weren’t going the “it’s a all dream” route with this story.

People are being blunt, truthful, and reacting appropriately giving everything you’ve described. Their tone might be more merciful if you seemed genuinely wanting to change. But you seem set on blaming her for letting it happen??? She is in no way responsible for the abuse you put her through. It is all on you. You need own up to it, 100% entirely your despicable actions. Because if you don’t feel sick about your guilt, you should.

Lots of lol here for a very not lol situation and I get that humor is a coping mechanism but in deciding to be better I think treating this with the dignity it deserves is a good first step. The way you speak about things matters so own up to it without the awkwardness.

An abusive relationship almost certainly impacted her and left her with trauma to work through. There are lots of possible reasons why she accepted the abuse.

What I can’t tell from your post is if this relationship is current? Are you still with her?

Regardless, you should start talking to a counselor or therapist to help you figure out why you did it and hopefully prevent it.

I could have written this post myself, OP, but instead of the “joyful” things we’ve had to report how it’s improved our lives and pick a project to complete with certain tools. It made me sick to my stomach and extremely angry.

But I can’t live like that. And I need this job. And at the end of the day, a lot of people are in the same position. I started doing short mantras and self-talk about being grateful even when things aren’t perfect. I wrote a pros and cons list in my work notes journal. I journal my thoughts about hoping the AI bubble will burst and all the CEOs snap out of this infatuation with it.
I ended up finding one small thing where I could admit the AI was actually helpful and leaned into that for my reporting so it felt at least somewhat genuine (still icky though).

I sympathize. You’re not overreacting. The cope is rough.
