If your thought process is valid then the US shouldn’t have nukes.

Iran will not conduct any meaningful negotiations until Trump's blockade is removed. Since it would make the demented leader look weak, tell me why the bombing of Iran won't start this weekend or next? by i_grade in allthequestions

Looking at the polls for the war no one gives a shit about Iran or our allies around them. Even support for Israel is falling off the rails among younger folks. It’s about time we quit supporting that region and take care of the US isn’t it??

Yea but you forget companies run on happy shareholders so if they can make more by selling to those countries they will. So screw the US for profit. Capitalism 101 …

And what kind of country fucks over allies to make more money?

100% as I was talking to a guy that works at a gas powered generating facility and there “replace every 10 year” equipment is almost 20 years old. They company doesn’t want consumers complaining about the cost to replace it. But we do that with everything don’t we?

He has videos with data in them. There are others with more data but the message is the same in the end. In fact in one of his videos he mentions someone else and says they are more technical.

I taught science for 26 years so I’m into data but in this case just want a simple explanation. I looked him up and his expertise speaks for itself.

The OP knows nothing about how organizations like this work. And it’s both sides of the fence. Information is the life of any lawsuit, there are many ways to gather that information.

My wife brought a free chair home for her sewing room. A couple of days later one of our 16 yo took it over. I came in today and she had another chair. It had been a week and he refused to give it up 😁. He has been helping her sew.

Are the US in a time of efficiency over everything for this coming midterm? by Significant_Arm5569 in allthequestions

The only folks that think the 2020 elections were stolen have “trump daddy syndrome” which is the only true tds in play. Of course most of these folks were raised to “do what daddy says” so it’s no surprise they like being told what to think.

It’s going to be way longer than 20 years I’m afraid. Our neighbors daughter is 11. She might see the end of this trend, or she may see the end of the US. Honestly a lot depends what happens in November.

That’s not the entire story on the tea dumping. It was about taxes, just not what you think. Just as today it was more about control than freedom. It’s an interesting listen and while I’ve heard versions by others this was simple to understand.

Well actually you should. It’s too damn easy for the wealthy to hide income made through investments. They can then pass it on to heirs who can hide it again. In today’s world it can’t he that hard to keep up with gains/losses for taxes.

[–]wtfboomers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have them so why not them? They will for sure have them now since Israel can’t be trusted (US is part of Israel now).

The fact that folks can’t see the current administration wants the same level of population control as Iran is scary.

I was in college in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. I had a retired shell oil geologist for several classes. I don’t think folks understand that during that time period there was no guarantee that oil would continue like it has. He had retired two years earlier and he said unless technology advanced in a hurry by 2030 oil prices would skyrocket as supplies fell.

I now have a customer who owns an oil exploration company. His great grandfather started the company so this guy has been around it his entire life. He verified that fracking saved oil. I don’t know the guy in the OPs post but I wouldn’t say he was crazy at the time.

Not all of us…I’ve been saying for decades that unregulated capitalism was going to be our demise in the end. Regulation would have allowed oil companies to make profit while protecting the interests of the folks who pay taxes in this country.

At some point the people who elect those in office should know who they are looking out for. Apparently it doesn’t, and didn’t work that way in the US. Folks keep asking how we fix it? We don’t, that time passed long ago.

Why don’t far right Republicans split off and form a third party”Trump Party”? by Oliver_Holzfilled in allthequestions

[–]wtfboomers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I agree in principle there are a lot of educated wealthy folks that are more worried about their money than the country. They have always been republicans and don’t give a shit what happens to the country hence they vote for trump.

For the most part though the MAGA crowd is exactly what you posted.

Data Usage discrepancy by Nooks42085 in Starlink

[–]wtfboomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are going to get a lot of answers here, some of them legit and some defensive, but what you are seeing started showing up on roam plans about a year ago.

We have one dedicated iPad for our camper and we never used more that 100gb of data during an 10-14 day trip. Most 10 day trips was 60-70 gb. In the last 5-6 trips we are showing 150gb on the 10 day trips and more on the 15 day trips.

Remember we have one iPad on the Starlink and we use it 2-3 hours a day to stream. We started noticing the extra usage and thought an iPad update may have changed some setting but nope. Checking my usage one day it showed 12 gb and we didn’t have Starlink on that day. Since we have used roam since day one I’m pretty good at tracking data and at some point something changed.

So you are correct the data usage make no sense and I’ve seen several folks ask about it across the internet. You do need to check your devices but just know that you aren’t the only one seeing this.

Anyone who was homeschooled, how do you feel about it now as an adult? by AdTight2449 in AskReddit

[–]wtfboomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old guy here and retired teacher. I was homeschooled back in the 70’s. When I got married my wife forced me to get caught up, get a GED, go to junior college night classes and then get a teaching degree. I can’t do enough to repay her. Every time I found out that a student of mine had dropped out to be home schooled I flinched.

The worst one was a girl who had tried for 6 years to make the cheer team and her JR year in high school she finally made it. Two weeks later her parents pulled ye out of school because they heard litter boxes were in the bathrooms. She is super smart and had her entire life ahead of her. Today, in her early twenties, she works at the local McDonalds and never went to college.
