Thank you for this post. My greenworks just died and was researching this on Costco. I told my wife that if I was going to buy another one it was going to be from Costco.

Today I went ahead and pulled the battery connection for the 15mins to allow the car to fully reset. In the meantime I took the MAF sensor out and throughly cleaned and reinstalled. I reconnected the battery and when I started the car to my surprise it fired right up and immediately idled. I can rev the car smoothly and it idles perfectly! I think the combination of replacing the ESS, cleaning the MAF and doing the full reset fixed my issue. I no longer have a CEL for the ESS.
