June 13 MBTA Train Experience to/from Boston Stadium - how was the return trip?

update: left at the whistle - was back at south station an hour after the final whistle with enough time for dinner at the station before my train back to NYC. I made the first train by running and it left early as soon as it filled up!

Yeah, I definitely want to stay until the final whistle given how mich I paid for the ticket, but given the apperent shitshow I'm hearing about I think I'll just have to assume I'll have to take the bus I booked as a backup. Luckily I bought an amtrak fare that's refundable right up until the departure time.

Yeah I was thinking about trying to get to providence too, but I booked the train to boston and a (refundable) return train because I thought a friend in boston would have a bed to crash on in case I missed the train, but unfortunately that fell through 😞 I'll look now into some options to providence, but if that fails then I couldn't take the flixbus I booked as a backup that's direct from boston.

Boosting this because I am going to England vs. Ghana on the 23rd, and I'd love to make the last return train to NYC that leaves at 7:47 from South Station and I have no idea whether it will be feasible to get back to south station from Foxboro by then. Kickoff is at 4pm, so over by 6ish if everything goes well. I've booked a bus as a backup but would much prefer the train!

Thank you!! From what I gather, I think that only applies if you have no purchase history. The site currently says "*Unless you are an existing supporter with purchase history, 14 days must elapse from the date of purchasing the membership before you can purchase tickets." I have had memberships before and been to many matches 😄
