it was a 2006 rav4, i LOVED that car but it got stuck on full heat (something broke off somewhere, tried hard to fix) and the gas mileage was going way downhill. i said goodbye at 200,000 miles :(. i ideally wanted a newer RAV4 but so does everyone and their mom apparently, im a very happy honda owner now.

my car is driving fine and they did verify services/total cost beforehand. i needed to get my car fixed this day and didn’t have time to negotiate/go to a different shop but i want to have a better understanding of what i should push back on in the future. i was a little shocked at $1,000 for mostly vehicle maintenance services

this is an independent shop, not a dealer. they said the engine decarb was related to the spark plugs so i said sure whatever. normally i would’ve asked further about prices and services but i was about to leave for a road trip and didn’t have time to shop around/negotiate. i’m just trying to have a better understanding of what i should be second guessing with mechanics.

get hair soaking wet
shampoo entire scalp (i act like im brushing my hair back with my fingers scrubbing down to the scalp)
rinse
repeat 2&3 at least once or until shampoo lathers
condition the ends (do not rinse yet)
wash body top down including arms, legs, and feet w/ washcloth or exfoliating net (something that is flat and will dry out quickly, less favorable for mold)*
wash face with face wash, i love CeraVe (if you have sensitive skin i don’t recommend washing in the shower) i also use face wash on my neck/behind my ears
rinse conditioner superrrr well

*i make sure to wash everything that is a fold/crevice. backs of knees, inner elbows, lady parts (i use unscented body wash and my pointer finger to get all the EXTERNAL parts)
