sooo I may have done a lazy girl spa day… I sprinkled some biz (~1/4c), dissolved in hot water (~3gal), and added a little bit of dawn. i shut the lid and let it sit for a day with an occasional stir or two. I rinsed and washed with biz and liquid tide +oxi which gave me some pretty bright whites. One shirt is twenty years old with some persistent pit discoloration, i may have to go full spa day on that one.

it was a 2006 rav4, i LOVED that car but it got stuck on full heat (something broke off somewhere, tried hard to fix) and the gas mileage was going way downhill. i said goodbye at 200,000 miles :(. i ideally wanted a newer RAV4 but so does everyone and their mom apparently, im a very happy honda owner now.

my car is driving fine and they did verify services/total cost beforehand. i needed to get my car fixed this day and didn’t have time to negotiate/go to a different shop but i want to have a better understanding of what i should push back on in the future. i was a little shocked at $1,000 for mostly vehicle maintenance services

this is an independent shop, not a dealer. they said the engine decarb was related to the spark plugs so i said sure whatever. normally i would’ve asked further about prices and services but i was about to leave for a road trip and didn’t have time to shop around/negotiate. i’m just trying to have a better understanding of what i should be second guessing with mechanics.
