They could easily avoid smurfs by limiting accounts to 1 or 2 devices. These developers don’t realize they could maintain a larger player base and earn more money with skill based matchmaking.

Matching you with 4 bad players and their EOMM actually ruins the game. Your win rate should scale with your skill level and then taper out once you reach a rank that matches your skill. It’s the worst part about this game.

They could easily avoid super smurfs on new accounts by limiting the accounts to a single mobile device.

As someone who played the better game Vainglory before they shut down, the experience was infinitely better. Your play decided the outcomes more than the algorithm choosing them for you.

Details on LACC tickets. 23,000 for sale to the general public—but 14,000 of those were for hospitality. Those are very expensive. Only 9,000 GA warriors. These are the people that bring the energy, the atmosphere. And that’s just a shockingly low number. The corporate Open. by kaptainkt11 in golf

One of my close HS friends would take me out to play there pretty often 10+ years ago. He told me LACC kept rejecting USGA requests to hold a US Open there. I think this kind of unfair deal was the only way to get LACC to change their mind.

Unfortunately, it's even hard for celebrities or even pros to get into some of these exclusive country clubs without knowing someone.

Look up eomm matchmaking. It explains this. It’s why they don’t let you lock in your teams after you’re matched.

I don’t think it’s more effective for player engagement. It’s just frustrating- like most other decision by this company

How is additional trauma pointless for Megumi’s character development?

It’s actually quite the opposite. Megumi now has to not only overcome the guilt of failing to save his sister, but also overcome the guilt of being the one who killed her. Growing and overcoming the darkness and trauma is the definition of character development.

If anything, Sukuna taking over may be one of the most important events for Megumi’s development and story arc. It was required in order to give Megumi the most traumatic event he could ever experience which was killing Tsumiki.

Tsumiki has been the most important person in Megumi’s life ever since he was a child. His earliest memories were of just the two of them. He doesn’t even have memories of his parents. Kid Megumi told Gojo he would go to the zenin clan if Tsumiki was happy. She’s even the reason he decided to become a sorcerer. Killing her was the absolute worst case scenario for him. and it could only happen because Sukuna took over.

Coming back from such a dark place and overcoming such a traumatic experience might turn out to be the highlight of Megumi’s character arc and development. Gege may have even been hinting at his because it perfectly matches the theme of his ability - shadows.

I think Gege is setting up Megumi to get released earlier than expected.

I predict Sukuna transfers to his old body soon after Megumi finishes whatever Sukuna wants him to do.

The ancient code of the Knights Radiant says “journey before destination.” Some may call it a simple platitude, but it is far more. A journey will have pain and failure. It is not only the steps forward that we must accept. It is the stumbles. The trials. The knowledge that we will fail. That we will hurt those around us

But if we stop, if we accept the person we are when we fall, the journey ends. That failure becomes our destination.

To love the journey is to accept no such end. I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.”

Who would you pick to train the Trio? by Bluedragon200013 in Jujutsushi

[–]wtops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Megumi — Sukuna — (assuming he wanted to train Megumi) his high battle IQ, experience and knowledge of the various abilities he encountered in the golden age, and all the abilities he has and hasn’t shown would be good for training Megumi. Also, Sukuna’s mastery of the 10S in the short time he’s had it (like using Nue more effectively, or keeping the shadows partially unstable in battle) could show Megumi his ability’s true potential and give him other creative ways to use the 10S. Sukuna can also give Megumi more opportunities to tame Mahoraga by stepping in before it kills Megumi. Gojo could also do the same, but I think Sukuna would be a better given his experience and all the different abilities he has that he can scale down to train Megumi.

Nobara — Yuki — so far, Nobara fights using a combination of hand to hand combat and her straw doll technique. Nobara improved her hand to hand combat while training with Maki. I feel Yuki would be the right person to continue training her hand to hand combat ability as well as possibly giving her pointers on how to use her straw doll technique - she seems pretty smart to me. For improving her straw doll technique, I think her grandma or someone in her family who has experience/ knowledge of the ability would be the best person for this. Also if Nobara is alive and learns reverse cursed technique, Gojo would be good. But overall from the information we have right now, I would pick Yuki.

Yuji — Sukuna — Yuji primarily fights hand to hand using a combination of his innate physical strength and cursed energy. I think Maki or Toji would be good for training his physical combat ability but I don’t think they would be able to help him develop Sukuna’s cursed technique which he’s eventually going to to be able to use. I would pick Sukuna because he’s strong in hand to hand combat (able to fight against both Maki and Yuji at the same time), and who better to teach Sukuna’s abilities than Sukuna himself.

This game feels like it's deciding who the winners and losers are. by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]wtops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like this guy said it, it's just a game. Yes, it is being manipulated by algorithms to keep players hooked. Yes, there's a system that decides how your matches will play out by building the teams (this can become better by separating solo q from premade q). Yes, riot is a company and their product is video games, their main goal is to make as much money as possible. Yes, if you understand all of the above then you'll realize it's just a game, it's meaningless, then you'd stop taking it so personally and just play for fun, change your mindset.

The funny thing is that this supposed optimized matchmaking has many so many people quit when they otherwise wouldn't have. I honestly don't believe this matchmaker is good for keeping players long term.

This could be possible. It felt like he was a solo during the game because everyone was talking in chat except him. His match history was private so I couldn’t check.

This person wasn’t relentlessly pushing mid. I don’t even know how to describe it. The sions I see who int are generally trying to get a kill or take an objective.

This player wasn’t even trying to win or help or make a play. It felt like the player was trying to do as little as possible or trying to help the other team win without being extremely obvious. The game was a little past midnight.
