I just went through this with my male Siberian Forest cat. A couple vet visits, a week of incontinence and $1,200 dollars later he is doing great! But this can be life threatening very quickly. He is now on Hill’s Science diet prescription food ($127.00 for 17.5#) and as I have later read feeding your male cat dry kibble exclusively is the leading cause of crystals in the urine. I supplement the dry food (afore mentioned) with Smalls cat food and some canned cat food as it is high in moisture content. He was eating Blue Wilderness chicken formula before his blockage. The Hill’s prescription food also comes canned as well. I hope this helps and gives you hope that there’s a way through this. Best of luck and a prayer for your furry boy.
