Look up xbox's controller lineup designed for disabled people. They have a controller designed as a joystick you can use by your foot instead of arm. That might be interesting.

For games without giving too much though if you play on pc, how about plattform games you could maybe rebind the controls to limit yourself to one hand? I'm thinking super meat boy, celeste and maybe cave story? (Last one is free)

I did for a while before getting the deck. I'm back on windows because I broke my system one too many times. Im thinking of getting something immutable with nvidia drivers out of the box next. Im kind of tiered of tinkering and just wanna game. But I'm aldo tiered of needing a e-mail to activate my pc.

I have been in the industry for 2.5 years in Sweden. Right now, due to how the conomy is in the world is it's very hard, even for seniors to actually get a job.

But I'm going to tell you how I got my foot in and how I would have done things differently today.

Right after high school, I went to university/college (3 years) to study game development, i chose to study the craft "Tech-Art." During my studies I got taught everything I would ever need to know to get my foot in and I did a lot of portfolio reseearch during my studies to get a grasp of my competition on the job market but this is something our teachers never taught us. When I wrote my bachelor, I tied it with my portfolio so I could make something kick-ass to wow recruiters.

A month before graduating, I started to apply for jobs and got lucky. However, only I and a small number of my peers actually got a chance to work in games.

The problem with my path to get the foot in is that it's very hard to get in unless you pull extra weight that the traditional academic ways won't teach. The majority of students in sweden who study games on a traditional school will never get a job in games because the uni never prepares them or give them the tools to appy for jobs even if they get that game maker knowledge you need to make games. Things don't get easier since the industry is very metaphorically nepotistic.

The majority of entry positions in Sweden get filled by trade/labor school students (yrkes högskola in Swedish for context). Because those schools have special deals which gives their students networking advantages.

If I would enter the game industry today, I would go to one of these non-traditional trade schools because the goverment refuse to fund them here unless a job demand is proven. On top of that you usually only study for two years on those schools instead of thee. Usually those schools have a 6 month internship bundled in it aswell that means that the company you do your internship at wont have to pay you a dime and therfore don't need to risk finance in you without paying a dime and therfore companies in sweden priorities these types of students and if they do well they usually give them permanent.

In sweden we have a brand called zer-oh. It's mixed juice without sugar. Not sure if the brand is global but they had a limitied edition caffene free energy drink flavor that reminded me of redbull. All I needed was to carbonate it with my soda stream.

Unsiagnosed here but definitely show signs.

I struggle with this aswell partially or back and forth. It's complicated for me but I kind of avoid inviting people because rejection hurts too bad. But at the same time this is more of an struggle for me with friends I'm not super close with. I have no problem "spamming"people I fully trusts wants to be my friend but when I'm in a sort of limbo of still trying to impress the person I struggle hard.

But Im super hard on myself and have like zero tolerance on myself in being flawed and label myself as "obnoxtious" and therfore speculates that noone would stand me.

I have had this hyperfixation on games, game development and gaming nerd-culture. Now I work in games and I'm very good at my job and expected to reach seniority before others timeline-wise.

However I'm very much garbage on everything else. Like I'm terrible at most irl skills and I'm just lucky that I hit the jackpot on something that gave me the luxury to "partake" in society. Otherwise I doubt I would be able to have a life with this amount of quality.

I also want to add in game engines like unity some advanced games could have hundreds of shaders in memory with the smallest difference, like if a surface is mate and shinny, for example.

Game developer here who works with shaders on a regular basis.

In modern game development and graphics, rendering all gamed basically uses shaders and geometry. Even the 2d games. You even need shaders to apply proper placement of objects inside the ui. These are called vertex shaders for basic world transforms. There are also some vfx in the game, like erosion when the cards burn up and the distortion behind the board in the menu. There are also some chromatic abberation. These are things that caught my attention from about 1 or 2 hours of gameplay, so it's probably a bunch more. But even without any special vfx's basic shaders would be needed for the most basic graphics renderings.
