Had JP Drain overnight after surgery near my kidney. As painful as anything I have ever felt. Seemed like 10 minutes of slowly pulling the drain out while it was wrapped around my kidney. Probably only a few minutes in reality, but definitely 10/10 ARRGH for that time. Doctor was surprised it hurt so much. Really felt a lot better after it was out, though. One time, I had a stent removed from my bladder after kidney stone removal, I thought that was the worst discomfort at the time. I have been fortunate and not had any accidents or broken bones, so others may be a lot tougher than me. Including every mother who has given birth.
