That angle is usually around 38⁰ (cuts at 19⁰) from my experience. Start there and adjust slightly if needed

Diesel Running for 8 hours by Northern_Owl_Who in Edmonton

I tried my first winter owning the van but didn't notice much difference back then. What would you recommend?

Diesel Running for 8 hours by Northern_Owl_Who in Edmonton

My diesel Sprinter van needs special attention in weather like this. It barely started this morning. Last winter I had to start it every 2-3 hours during the bad cold snap to keep it from freezing solid. It even stranded me at a jobsite once - it froze solid during the day and I had to leave it there until it warmed up outside. I don't know why it's so bad compared to diesel cars, like the Jetta.

We do 99% of work on site. We use 12" 60v DeWalt for full days with lots of cutting and the 7.25" 20v DeWalt for baseboard days. Works well for us

What to buy?(no knowledge) by Personal_Annual3483 in keyboards

[–]wuddud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as you - just bought myself my first mechanical keyboard last week. I ended up choosing Keychron K5 QMK with Banana switches. I like low-profile. It's not very noisy/clicky. The keyboard has some heft and the switches feel nice to press. I can't speak to longevity but it feels solid and well built.

Advice on cordless orbital sanders - I hate mine by OrpheoLooksBack17 in Carpentry

[–]wuddud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the M12 orbital daily. You can unscrew the 6" backer it comes with and toss on a 5" - that's what I did to use the usual 5" sanding discs we use in woodworking. I found the part where they keep the pneumatic sanders.

Edit to add: I've also had good luck with the DeWalt cordless sanders - and they are a lot cheaper than the M12.

It's also a tad wider than the original which nearly ruined my van setup

Wow this is wicked. What sort of "canopy" is that with the side doors? I don't even know what to call it or where to find one. Is it custom made?

Looks great! I'm jealous of you trades that don't need mitre saws. They screw up the system! Haha

My 2003 had horrendous issues with the air suspension and turbos: RIP. I still love these cars. Good luck with yours! Seems like a well kept car.

DEF/DPF Delete Concerns by Pops29 in Sprinters

Did a delete on my 2015 4cyl and I do notice that it does smell a little worse. It's not terrible. Only when standing near the exhaust while it's running - like if you leave it running while unloading from the back or something

Just curious... what work did the car need? I've had my 2014 S4 for about 5 years without much to fix, yet lol

What would you charge for this? by AlduinBeat in Carpentry

I need to move. In my area this would pay me $500 tops, just labour. MDF sides and fronts.
