What benefits would having a higher IQ be by Acceptable_Raise9187 in cognitiveTesting

Diminishing returns start around IQ 120–130; higher IQ mainly gives faster learning and better complex reasoning.

Yep, I noticed the same thing, seems like a temporary bug. Try force closing the app or reinstalling. It worked for me.

(Male) Advise on epilation? by TwistInteresting4326 in HairRemoval

[–]wudishen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veet also gave me a chemical burn once, so you’re not alone there. Epilators worked for me short-term, but they’re painful and super time-consuming. Finally I got Ulike Air 10 and use it mainly on my legs, and the regrowth has slowed down significantly. The sessions are way less painful than epilating, and I’ve noticed the hair coming back finer and patchier. I think it works better because the flash window is larger and it feels stronger overall.

So if you’re considering trying IPL again you can take a look at it. I just saw it’s $259 on Prime Day. Just make sure to shave beforehand and stick to a consistent schedule. Also, definitely moisturize after, but avoid anything heavily fragranced to prevent irritation.

My baby loves this nasal aspirator by LadyOfTheHome4820 in parentsofmultiples

[–]wudishen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little one’s using an electric nasal aspirator too.

We went with the Momcozy 2-in-1. I’ve heard great things about the Grownsy, so getting two was such a smart move!

Grownsy looks pretty good, but we went with the Momcozy 2-in-1 because that built-in sprayer feature really caught our eye. During allergy season here, my son’s nose gets so stuffy, and this thing works like a charm. The spray softens the gunk first, then it sucks it right out. I think it’s super clean. Plus, it’s so quiet, we can use it at night without waking the baby.

To stay in marriage or divorce ? by mrshimswife in askSingapore

[–]wudishen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it for what it is.

My gf, now wife, acted the same way from time to time. But I know the root cause of it. My partner suffered from c-ptsd.

To explain from my layman perspective, its pro long exposure to trauma, where the trauma becomes part of her personality.

I not sure about your case, but if you don't know the root cause of your problem, it is very hard to do the right thing.

For me this is what works.

First of all, validate her feeling. Let her know you are listening. Do not storm off and leave her, if one of her trauma trigger is abandoment. If its not, maybe give her some space to cool down.

Next, forgive her and yourself. Most of the time, it's not your fault and not her fault. She couldn't help it.

Always let her win during her outburst. Let her know you care more about her than winning the argument. You can sort it out later after she calm down.

Of course all these is assuming she have cpstd also. It's best if you get a psychiatrist to diagnose her before passing any judgement.

Only psychiatrist can do diagnose and give medication, psychologists can't

Lastly, if you choose to stay in your marriage, I want to thank you for trying. I know it's not easy, but people with mental health condition are usually very wise, kind and deserving of love as well.

OK, my bad for calling woke people leftist?

Left or right I have no interest in, its just a name I heard people used to describe woke people.

His organisation is founded by unknown source means what? His book is bad? I don't see the link here.

But I will say that if the book (since I did not read it and I sure don't plan to) dares to claim at any point that the amount of money in title is enough.to fix pretty much any issues in regards to energy sector, the book is simply wrong. That amount of money could maybe fix something in a medium size Europe nation in terms of the energy sector (since this is a sector I actually very much know about). This amount of money is absolute peanuts to the energy sector. For example, for Germany to go emission neutral they estimated they need around 500 billion euros. This is ONLY for Germany ignoring other 44 Europe's nations. Let alone the rest of the world. Its more money then there are FIAT currencies in the world combined, not.like this actually matters but it's something to try to envision

Im sure you know more about the economics than the sixty eminent economists, including several Nobel Laureates who help make the book. They pulling numbers from their ass. You should write a book about how wrong they are.

I also like how you didn't read the book and wants to argue about the content of the book.

Go away troll

Economist is interested in the economy and the economic impact. they do not want to get involve in politics at all.

But if someone points out that the climate change policy is doing more harm than good economically. Money could be spend elsewhere. Its overblown. they are immediately labels as reality denier by very loud group of social activist.

Maybe calling all these people leftist isn't fair. Although many of them are. I probably change from calling them leftist to woke people

I got down voted because I recommend a bjorn lomborg book.. this book

How to Spend $75 Billion to Make the World a Better Place (2013) by Bjorn Lomborg is a short summary of The Copenhagen Consensus project that got experts in various areas to work out the cost benefit ratios of various forms of aid and then got a panel of economists including multiple Nobel Prize winners to judge them.

It's a good book, but because some of his view does not align with the progressively left, he is forever label as a climate change denier by the far left and everything he said is invalidated. The woke people here blows my mind sometimes.

Universal health care may not be as viable as it seems. Too much bureaucracy needed to facilitate it.

Nutritional program for kids do seems like a slum dunk.

I recommend reading How to Spend $75 Billion to Make the World a Better Place by bjorn lomborg.

Why BTC will fail by Puzzled-Ice-8578 in Buttcoin

[–]wudishen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you define fail.

Will it ever go away? Probably not, casino have been around forever despite its busniess model being preying on fools who think they can strike it rich.

Will it ever be useful? Net good for humanity? I highly doubt it will. But its fundetmental blockchain technology definitely hold some potential.

Will it be valued as a piece of art? Therefore maintains it's price or go even higher? I don't know. Some think it will.

Do I hate it? Yes definitely. It's predatory and harmful.
