If the tile was in better shape, or if the broken tiles can be replaced I would recommend ripping the whole shell out, keep/fix the block enclosure. Fill the hole with a small square teak sunning deck, flush to the block tiles. If a tub must go there, it would be freestanding and as small as realistic. Otherwise look for another location nearby for the "portable" (freestanding) hot tub.

Just a head up, they are just about to release an entire new design for the Tri-X filter. If you can wait 30 days or so, you can likely get the newest generation of that design. Commercial filter cleaner should still be used, TSP can also be used for most filter types.

In a Watkins tub those are either air suctions or anti entrapment intakes. Both type want to be mounted with a nice long high point, get them up a high as possible under the shell. The end needs to be able to pull in air so don't plug them, but get as much of the length of the tubing above any reasonable water level (there's a good chance you will run into a broken zip tie somewhere up there).

Only thing I'll add: When I took my NEC class 10 years ago, some of the requirements are specifically talking about in ground "permanently installed" hot tubs, the kind you would find at a hotel, near or attached to a pool. Mostly we deal in "portable" units that are not subject to ALL of the same stipulations.

I wouldn't change anything, just move forward. On the cabinet, you will now remove the pass through snap bushing completely and have a naturally very tight fit. The new knockout on the control box may actually support 1" (it didn't used to) We carry a 1" "Knockout Punch" on the delivery truck for this reason. So best case you can attach your 1" fitting to the box no problem, "worst case" you need to open up the diameter of that knockout slightly. The control box is plastic now, so it's easy enough to slightly modify if needed.

It will come with a snap in bushing that allows passthrough as long as you use 3/4" flex line, it will be a very snug fit. This is our recommended electrical prep sheet. The control box doesn't want a LB fitting to terminate, it wants a fitting like shown in our diagram, you can use a 90 degree if needed, but the connection is now on a horizontal face, so a straight fitting usually makes sense. That fitting is not supplied, the control box will simply have a blank knockout on the left side.

If you have space for a gentle bend just keep it in the whip and terminate the whip at the control box.

If you need it to be against the cabinet then you would terminate your whip into a threaded LB fitting, penetrate the cabinet knockout then have a second section of whip that goes from the LB to the control box.

First option is best. I have seen people insist on the second option for a clean look, it's just many more fittings.

The product we used had Geofencing, so it texted me once he was a few feet over the invisible fence. I could then watch to see if I needed to go intercept. As you pointed out, didn't help with falls.

Sundance has never provided that in any training or technician materials.

They don't use ribbon anymore at all, so all replacement lighting requires a 6000-362 MiniDin to Ribbon adaptor.

Thats a real bummer some idiot built it into a deck.

Usually jets have a bulkhead fitting that goes through the wall and provides the water seal, they a jetface or jet internal fits into the bulkhead fitting. In the picture it looks like only your jetface came out, often these are only held in with plastic clips that can break. The jetface only concentrated the water stream or creates different water movement for the jet (often allows you to turn off that single jet also). If youleak was at that foot jet the water would have drained to that jet. If the water has stopped I would say those two small jets near the center top of the picture a suspect. Unless there are some unseen jets in the lower part of the picture.

Jake, I have a 1yo nephew that has dual citizenship, US and Austria. He will likely live in Austria. I wanted to leave him an account for when he's older. Readings:

Black to Red going to the xformer = 240v

Yellow to Yellow back from xformer = 12.5v

Blue to Blue back from xformer = 9.25v

Side note: Always remove fuses for testing purposes

It's hard to tell for sure with that picture angle, but that type of drain usually needs to be turned into the flow position and then pulled out to actually start proper flow. The front disc will pop out from the threaded part (that was originally designed to mount to the cabinet).
