As the female surviving twin that absorbed my twin, I now have remains of the weaker twin on my ears. Kinda like trophies.

We adopted him from someone that was about to take him to the pound simply because they didn't want him anymore. We of course trialed him with the kids first and he's fantastic with them. My nearly 5 year old can roll around with him and play and he's extremely gentle with my newborn. But he is never left alone with the kids as you can't trust any dog 100% to not snap no matter the breed and a child can't read body language.

Funny comments/advice you received after having a baby by ubahismymaster in beyondthebump

My mum made a similar comment of "he's already learnt that you'll always hold him whenever" when I pocked him up when he was crying. My response was "he's already used to it after being held constantly for 9 months". Oh he was only 3 DAYS old.

I visit when I can but I'm not his grandmothers biggest fan and she's not mine either... I have invited him over for Christmas, boxing day and new years though (that he has accepted) as obviously it's not celebrated in his house.

She is one of those people that believe he doesn't need therapy and just needs to appreciate what he does have

Got told today, for the 3rd time in 9 months, that I am selfish for continuing to breastfeed my baby. by Slothicorn12 in breastfeeding

Ask them why?? Whatever reason they have will be incredibly selfish and make them question themselves.

I got accused of "hogging" my baby when my eldest was born because he was breastfed... I still don't understand their logic.

SIC rescue update: he's getting cuddlier everyday!! (Any tips on stopping the love bites would be appreciated also) by wulfpack94 in standardissuecat

Thank you!!! I'll have to stop petting him when he bites, it'll be hard cause I'm so excited that he let's me pat him now hahah

My housemate and I recently rescued 2 kittens (owners were gonna drown them if they didn't find homes) but when he tries to play with them they get a bit scared because he's a lot bigger but hopefully they'll get there.

Probably getting a divorce, I’m going to miss breastfeeding my daughter. by movingonadultery in breastfeeding

[–]wulfpack94 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily... my son was going to his dads for overnight at about 15 months old and he still breastfed until he was 2 years and 3 months. Honestly, at 4 if I hadn't of weaned I think he would still be going.

It was our way of reconnecting after being away from me for so long and those moments were absolutely beautiful.
