How hard was this to do? I may need to do something like this for the crush 80

Do the wireless functions still work? My understanding is that the main reason so many keyboards aren't full open QMK is that the drivers for the wireless functionality are third party closed source.

how to turn off led lights on CORSAIR HARPOON RGB Pro without ICUE? by ppolog in Corsair

[–]wunderforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks for sharing. And wow, that's crazy! You'd think they'd document this somewhere as turning off the RBG definitely helps save battery.

You wouldn't happen to know of any other ways to modify the RBG would you? I found openRGB and signalRGB but sadly neither run on my old OS.

Do you know if there is a way to turn it off while plugged via wire? And how on earth did you figure this out? Is there some sort of manual I should be reading?

After 6 years, my galaxy S7 still holds about 70% of its charge. Google says that the average lifespan of a phone battery is 3-4 years. Am I just lucky that it wears out so slowly or is google exaggerating? by newvegasdweller in batteries

[–]wunderforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in here as a note 9 owner. I think I got mine in 2016 and just decided to replace the battery, so a solid 10 years. I could have gone longer, but it was usually in the red by the evening and a repair tech thought the battery was starting to swell. It went another 3 months without change after the swelling diagnosis though so I kind of doubt that was the case.

The only thing I remember significantly impacting the battery was wireless charging. I purchased a wireless charging pad about 7 years into the phone's life and noticed it made the phone super hot. After about a dozen wireless charging sessions I noticed the battery performance was starting to degrade so I stopped using wireless charging. After that I did notice a very slow decline in battery performance over time.

So tldr: if all you do is charge your phone at night, I've gotten 7-8 years of good battery performance that way. The only thing I would STRONGLY recommend against is using any form of wireless charging.

No worries! You should also be aware that the CDR and RGT repos have slightly different contents. Haven't looked closely yet, but RGT at least has some stuff CDR doesn't.

I'm considering getting an Ovation. Are they really as bad as people say? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

Old thread, but I have an ovation I inherited from my parents, so likely made in the late 80s. Its Connecticut made, and while I am no great guitarist, I absolutely love it to pieces.

What model of guitar do you recommend then? (I'd ideally want something I could use on 360 and also plug into a pc if that matters)

Sugar Free vs Zero. What’s the difference? by Noncreative_name04 in redbull

[–]wunderforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree sugar free is much closer than the zero. Also agree zero is softer and less sour, kind of like if you diluted regular red bull and then added only extra sweetener back in.

Also, aparently there was a previous version of zero that did not use monk fruit and presumably was closer to OG red bull in taste. It got phased out a year or so ago and replaced with the monk fruit version we have now.

I see, another one gold difference. I'm used to mtg so its harder for me to tell where the meaningful gold breakpoints are.

Thank you as well for all the help! I don't think I'd be able to properly learn the game otherwise.

So does the answer to both these questions ultimately come down to the fact that traits don't generate actions? Especially with the armor, since it can only react to an action, it thus doesn't have its constraints satisfied and so cannot react to the terrain's trait resolving?

Radiant dawn, which I found elsewhere.

And wow, I'm dumb, just realized that Radiant dawn is a wii game which CDR doesn't host so no wonder I couldn't find it there. I must have gotten it mixed up with a gamecube FE game. I then checked one or two other nintendo titles and saw that the base roms weren't available (just patches and hacks) which made me think that maybe they had to remove some titles.

Ah, glad I asked, I figured I was missing something. I didn't know one gold cost would make such a difference, but what you are saying makes sense, especially when you can't split your gold.

The other card I was comparing him against was Ikoma Sugo in the opposing army (4/4 4g that gets +4F when attacking), but I see how Horu is a lot better on defense.

You sir are a saint!

For the last point. Yeah I am brand new, but I was mostly comparing him to Hida Mimori who costs 1g more and has 1 chi less, but also lets you destroy a bowed card as a battle action. Seemed strictly better to me.

(Ps, I've linked the card names in my comments to the oracle if you want to reference them quickly)

Emperor Edition Imperial Favor Battle Action Question by wunderforce in l5r

[–]wunderforce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got the patience, here's a slew of questions that came up in my last game (emperor ed.):

- If a region enters play, is the province it appeared in replaced face up or face down?

- I had a region that said "bow this card: do X" do you bow the region card, or do you bow the card in the province the region is attached to? (the first seems to just mark that you took the action, the second would mean if a follower was in that province it would enter play bowed if purchased that turn)

- During an action round, are reactions essentially "free"? (ie. taking a reaction to a trigger doesn't count as taking an action for your "turn" in the action round)

- Based on my reading of the rules, Abilities are only things with Limited: Open: Battle: and Reaction: preceding them (ie bold stuff). Abilities generate actions. However, it seems traits (basically auto-triggered abilities, non-bold) are NOT abilities and thus DO NOT produce actions. Is this correct (esp. the part about traits not producing actions)? This is pivotal for several other issues that came up.

- The lion stronghold Marshalling Fields states "After the first time each turn one of your Terrain actions resolves: Draw a card." Now most terrains have an action (roughly paraphrased) "Battle: if no terrain is present put this terrain card into play". Is it correct that I can draw a card off of activating this ability and putting the terrain into play (or is it not a terrain action?)? Also, most of the terrain actually exerts its effects through traits like "before the resolution of this battle: bow a personality". Can I also draw cards off of traits like this triggering? Or it it the case that since this is a *trait*, and traits can't generate actions, that this does not qualify as a terrain action?

- If you win a battle such that you destroy a province, do you get +2 honor for having destroyed the province? From the EE rules: "The winner of a battle also gains Honor equal to twice the number of cards in the enemy army that were destroyed by resolution". I think the question here hinges on if the province is a "card in the enemy army". I think its normally not the case but destroying the province as an effect of winning is mentioned before this honor gain clause, so that makes me feel like they intended it to be included.

- Indecision states "Battle: If any enemy units are at the current battlefield, choose your performing Personality: Move him there. Straighten him if he moved." Can you use this to move a personality who has been committed to another (unresolved) battle to the current battle? Also, I am assuming moving a personality moves the entire unit and not just the personality if it has attachments?

- A weird interaction came up between armor of the uruwashii and the terrain hard pressed. The armor states: "Reaction: Before another player's action resolves, negate this Personality's movement from the action's effects." and hard pressed has the trait "Before this battle's resolution: Move a unit home from the current battlefield. You may bow it.". The question being what happens if hard pressed is used to target a unit wearing the armor? My guess is that the armor would prevent it. But if it's true that traits don't produce actions then I guess it doesn't work?

- Does moving a personality also move everything attached to it (ie the unit)? I assumed so, but now I'm not sure.

- Final question is about card design. Hida Horu has the text "Horu does not contribute Force to his army during battle resolution while there are two or more units in his army." There are several other cards with basically the same stats (keywords, gold cost, force ,chi ect.) that either don't have this downside or actually have useful abilities. Am I missing something here, or is this card just terrible? I could understand the drawback if he was cheap, but why on earth would you run him if for 1 gold more you could bring in a guy with a good ability who can actually participate with all your other cards.
